The Weeknd is Hitting the Road With 'After Hours' Tour

The Weeknd has just announced an upcoming tour in support of his upcoming album After Hours, out March 20th via the label XO/Republic. The tour is set to take place with a huge U.K. and European arena tour in the fall, along with a 40 city stint throughout the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. and Canadian leg of the tour will begin in June, taking the singer to Madison Square Garden in New York on September 3rd for the final show.

So when can you get tickets? The presale tickets for the tour will be released throughout next week, with the earliest available sale beginning Tuesday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m. Presale tickets and times for each individual date are available at Ticketmaster. This will be The Weeknd's first tour since his majorly successful 2017, Starboy tour. Fans have been anxiously awaiting his new album, "After Hours,' and now have even more to be excited about with the announcement of the new tour.

Fans have been waiting ver impatiently for the release date of The Weeknd's upcoming album. The singer finally revealed the album, 'After Hours,' will be released March 20th. The Weeknd has already released the singles, "Blinding Lights," and "Heartless," both from the upcoming album. The two singles have already been met with praise from both the critics and the fans, leaving everyone wanting more. The highly anticipated album is The Weeknd's first since Starboy, which was released back in 2017.

The Weeknd has definitely been keeping busy. He recently appeared in the latest Safdie brothers film, Uncut Gems. In the film, he stars as the 2012 version of himself alongside Adam Sandler. The singer will also appear as the musical guest on the March 7th episode of Saturday Night Live, with host Daniel Craig. Music, acting, and... a mustache? The star has also caused quite a stir recently for his newly grown mustache. The facial hair has sent fans and the internet into a frenzy. Needless to say, the stache is a hit.

The Weeknd wont be alone on his upcoming tour. He also announced the tour will feature several special guests. The Weeknd has enlisted the musical talents of Sabrina Claudio, Don Toliver and 88GLAM as his openers for the tour. In a press release for the tour, the statement read, “After Hours Tour will showcase state of the art production and one of the most innovative stage designs to date, containing the most LED lights and video for an arena show.”

The upcoming album and tour mark a new era for the singer. As he evolves as a person, so does his artistry. This new incarnation of The Weeknd personifies the artist he has grown into over the past several years of his career. Both fans and the music world alike are excited to see this full rebirth of The Weeknd with both the album and the tour.
