We all know Drake's real is Aubrey, in part that his first claim to fame was on the popular TV show Degrassi. Drake is his middle name and it does have a better ring to it than a rapper named Aubrey. But, do you know the real names of other popular rappers? Here's a list of a few popular rappers and their real names. And we have to warn you, their names will indeed shock you.

Future has topped the Billboard charts with many club bangers like "Mask Off," "Wicked," and "F*ck Up Some Commas." He even made a platinum album with Drake called "What A Time To Be Alive" that several billboard top 100 songs on that album alone.

But did you know that Future's real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn. So, where did the name Future come from? In an interview, Future stated that he got the name from successful Atlanta based hip-hop and R&B artists because they told him that he would be "the future of rap." And we must say, they were pretty accurate, and that's one heck of a story.

Everybody knows Wiz Khalifa. With his bubbly personality and humor, he has been a well liked rapper. He makes a bunch of videos about weed and it's safe to say, he is definitely a weed activist. So, is love for weed how he got his name?

Turns out, his real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz. Completely different from the name Wiz Khalifa. But the background to his name actually has nothing to do with his passion for weed.

In an interview, Wiz Khalifa stated that one of his biggest supporters was his uncle, who's name meant knowledge. So, he started to refer to himself as wisdom, which was later shortened to the nickname Wiz. As Wiz got older, his uncle added the name Khalifa, which means successor in Arabic. Pretty neat story Wiz!

He's known as "Uncle Snoop" for a reason. He is one of the first rappers to launch the rap genre. He is well known and well respected, and very involved in more than just the rap game. He is a football coach and has his own show on Netflix, he has is own cooking show with Martha Stewart, has been in movies, and so much more.

But, where did Snoop get his name from? Turns out his real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus, which is nothing like the name Snoop. But, he got the name from his mom who would call him Snoopy, inspired by the "Charlie Brown" series. All we can say is that it's cute to keep the nickname from your mom!

With such a unique flow and for being "a white boy," Eminem is a rapper that will always be remembered as a great musician and rap artist. From being on the Billboard Top 100 to winning several Grammy awards, Eminem has an extensive resume and has earned the right to be in the conversation with the best of the best.

But, how did he get the name Eminem? His original stage name was M&M, which were the initials for his real name, Marshall Matthers. He soon realized he couldn't have the same name as the candy (M&M's) and changed his name to Eminem.
