Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have faced a lot of criticism for "allowing" Zaya to dress the way she does. It all started with a family photo posted on Instagram when people were making rude remarks about the way Zaya was dressed.

Zaya, originally born as a male with the name Zion, has been pictured wearing feminine clothes but Zaya says shes always known who her true self was. And parents Gabrielle and Dwayne have both taken to social media to her support and to defend her. While there has been a lot of support, some celebrity figures have slammed Zaya and the Wade family.

Rapper, Lil Boosie, took to Instagram and Twitter dissing Dwyane Wade, Zaya, and the LGBTQ community. He publicly said on social media that "Dwayne Wade, you've gone too fucking far, bro. That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don't even know what they next meal gonna be." Implying that Zaya is just "confused" about her sexuality because she is so young and that Zaya shouldn't be allowed to be a transgender or dress feminine. Boosie did not have support with his comments about Zaya.

Rapper Young Thug had similar views to fellow rapper, Lil Boosie, on Zaya being transgender. Young Thug took to twitter saying, "All I wanna say to Dwade son is "GOD DONT MAKE MISTAKES." And he capitalized how "god" doesn't make mistakes.

A lot of people who don't support the LGBTQ community reference religion and aregue how LGBTQ individuals are "wrong" because God stated in the Bible that being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender is wrong. Let's just say, Young Thug didn't have support on his disrespectful words towards Zaya.

The entire Wade family supports Zaya, and many celebrities like Jessica Alba and Jamie Foxx have shown their support for Zaya and the Wade family. Even politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reached out and publicly stated, "Hey, Zaya! We are all so proud of you. “Your strength, intelligence, and conscientious worldview is impressive - thank you for being you!” And we agree, keep being you Zaya!
