Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West spent their Sunday night at the NBA All-Star game in West's hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The couple sat court side during their surprise appearance, and fans went nuts when they were shown on the screen...during the kiss cam segment!

Kim, 39, looked relaxed as she blew kisses to the camera and a title card appeared with her name. The shot went on a little too long before they finally panned over to Kanye, and that's when things continued to be very awkward.

The 42-year-old rapper literally just stared at the camera (again, for a little too long) as his name showed on the screen, but he eventually cracked a smile. After their stage was "set," so to speak, Kimmy turned to her husband and smooched her lips - but her invitation was flatly declined! Maybe Kanye missed the part where this was "the kiss cam," and not just a random introduction?! Anyway, Kim was able to sneak a kiss on the cheek before laughing it off.

Besides being West's old stomping grounds, Chicago is the name they gave to their third child, a daughter, born in 2018. They received a very warm welcome from this special city as fans lined the streets and chanted their names upon their arrival earlier that day. Kim shared the moment on her Instagram story as they were en route to a special edition of Kanye's "Sunday Service" series, which was held at the Credit Union 1 Arena on Chicago's Near West Side.

Another very notable Chicago native was in town for the NBA All-Star Game: 38-year-old singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, who had the beautiful but hard task of providing a pre-game tribute to the late basketball star Kobe Bryant. Her performance of "All We Know" also paid remembrance to Kobe's 13-year-old daughter, rising youth basketball player Gianna "Gigi" Bryant. Hudson opted for an all-purple ensemble and subtle yellow earrings to match the colors of Kobe's longtime home team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The January 26th helicopter accident shocked Kim Kardashian just as much as the rest of the world. She took to Instagram where she joined the chorus of celebrities sharing their deepest condolences to everyone involved.

"My heart is so heavy," Kardashian's caption began. "No one should ever experience what the families involved are going through. This has affected us all so much but I cannot begin to imagine what Vanessa is feeling losing her husband and her baby girl." Kim, like Vanessa, is also a mother of four children.

"I cry just thinking about it. I am praying for the Bryant family, the Altobelli family and the families of all who perished in this unthinkable tragedy. Rest In Peace Legend." (The names of the other four crash victims - coach Christina Mauser, pilot Ara Zobayan, as well as Sarah and Payton Chester - had not been publicly revealed yet at the time of Kim's posting.)

In wake of the terrible tragedy, Kanye called a midnight special addition of the "Sunday Service" series, which was held in its normal Los Angeles location following that night's GRAMMY Awards. We're sure that - for Kim and Kanye both - experiencing Jennifer Hudson's live tribute to the Bryant family is something they will not soon forget.
