Viewers of TLC’s Sister Wives know that Kody’s four wives are not afraid to call him out when he gets off base. It would appear that this has been happening a lot more lately now that Kody has been trying to convince the wives to get back into one big house.
In fact, tensions are beginning to rise on the latest season of the show–and the wives are starting to speak out. Meri recently let Kody know that he was treading on thin ice with recent statements.
Need a refresher on who the Browns are? You aren’t the only one.
Kody Brown is a polygamist with four wives. When Sister Wives began, Kody was engaged to Robyn and already married to Meri, Janelle, and Christine. The three wives lived in one house in Lehi, Utah. After appearing on the show and coming out to the world, the Browns fled to Las Vegas, seemingly because they were under investigation by the state. There, they lived in four separate homes in the same cul-de-sac.
You’re almost up to speed. In 2018, the Brown family had set up shop in Flagstaff, Arizona. There was a major problem though: the family was spread out around the city.
When the family moved to Flagstaff, they purchased a large plot of land with the intention of building on it in the future. The catch? Kody wants to build one huge house with four wings for the wives. They are not keen on the idea, and they would much rather live in separate homes. This had led to some recent drama on the show.

In a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody was discussing his plan for the third time with the wives. Only one wife, Janelle, has supported the idea. Christine is very against the idea, and Meri and Robyn are on the fence.
Kody commented on the show that attitude of his wives was largely in part due to jealousy. The way he said it was very flippant, as if he did not understand why somebody would be jealous about sharing their husband.
First wife Meri was not thrilled with Kody’s statements. She posted on Twitter that Kody should not “speak for all of us.” She said he “is so wrong” for speaking on her behalf.
I do have to say, I can't speak for all of us, but when Kody says "all" of us can't handle seeing him with another woman, he is so wrong and shouldn't be speaking for me 🤷♀️#SisterWives

Kody responded to Meri’s Tweet, but he sounded a little bit snarky. He apologized for generalizing and added, “It is true that I sometimes accuse them of ‘all’ doing something that usually is one wife only.”
In making this statement, Kody is really calling out Christine. Christine has been adamant about not wanting to share her home with the other wives, and Kody has accused her of being jealous and not wanting to see him with another wife.
Will the family end up living in one home? It’s not clear at this time, but the lot the family purchased does not yet have any houses.
