In a lengthy Instagram post, Justin Bieber chronicles his life under the public eye. From living life as a child who was constantly scrutinized for exhibiting nothing but childlike behaviors to growing up in a world surrounded by fame, materialism and way too much money that unfortunately couldn't purchase him real-world skills or the knowledge of what was right or wrong, his mental health declined and he turned to drugs. Luckily, this post was all in retrospect, and he details how he has grown up since.

Justin Bieber first rose to fame when he was only thirteen years old, which he blames his young stardom as part of his problem, and ultimately why he turned to drugs. "You see, I have a lot of money, clothes, cars, achievements, awards and I was still unfulfilled. Have u noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcomes of their life? This is insane pressure and responsibility to put on a child who's brains, emotions, frontal lobe (decision making) aren't fully developed."

Bieber also gets into the specificity of his drug use, and mentions that he was addicted to hard drugs by the time he turned 19. He discusses how, at age 20 with endless amounts of money and no real need to learn from his mistakes, he turned to partying and in turn was disrespectful to women, resentful, angry, and at the end of the day, completely broken.

His drug issues are no secret, as he has had numerous past encounters with the law, including back in 2013 when he was caught with drugs on his tour bus on tour in Sweden.

Back in early 2019, Bieber decided to take a break from music in order to focus on himself and his new marriage to model Hailey Baldwin. He said he'd come back with a 'kick-ass album' once his health and his relationship with his families had been worked on. Considering he recently came out with a new record, including his hit single 'Yummy' that was written about his wife, it's safe to assume he put the work in that led to his growth as a person.

Hailey Bieber, Justin's wife of over a year, is credited with helping him with a lot of his growth. Before her, he was reckless with the women he was involved with, but he mentions focusing on his marriage as a huge part of why he wanted to get personal on Instagram. "Luckily god blessed me with extraordinary people that love me for me. Now I am navigating the best time of my life: "MARRIAGE!!" Which is an amazing crazy new responsibility."
