Denise Richards recently shut down a report claiming she and husband Aaron Phypers have an open marriage on Instagram and told her fans and followers that the two of them are 100 percent faithful to one another.

As fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills well know, rumors began swirling in regard to a potentially open marriage in early January as Richards was accused of engaging in a months-long affair with her co-star, Brandi Glanville, which Richards' rep denied.

On February 18, days after Richards addressed the rumors plaguing her marriage on Instagram, an insider spoke to Hollywood Life, revealing Richards “has no idea where the rumors of her having an open marriage with Aaron [Phypers] came from."

According to the report, Richards was upset by the rumors about her and Phypers' relationship, which were believed to have surfaced amid production on the upcoming 10th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Season 10 is the second season for Richards, who initially joined the cast in 2018 for season nine.

“[Denise] seems to be the target this season. The feeling is that Brandi [Glanville] has just been out to get her to start drama,” the insider alleged.

During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season nine, Glanville was seen on camera just once as she and Richards caught up for drinks and discussed the allegedly manipulative ways of their former co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, who quit the show after the season wrapped in 2019.

“Denise does hold her own despite them getting into it, although she didn’t attend one of the parties because she didn’t want to give Brandi a filming platform for more drama,” the source continued.

While Richards hasn't been seen with many of her co-stars since filming began on season 10 last summer, new cast member Garcelle Beauvais, who was brought to the show with Sutton Stracke months ago after Vanderpump's exit, has reportedly been the one that's had Richards' back throughout production.

“It’s honestly Garcelle [Beauvais] who jumps to her defense the most," the Hollywood Life insider explained. "She would’ve loved some of the other ladies to support her more, especially Lisa Rinna, who is a good friend, so that was surprising and upsetting, but she knows she and Aaron are fine and these are just rumors."

While The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 was said to be quite dramatic for Richards, she hasn't quit the show, as some reports have suggested, and is reportedly not against the idea of returning to the series for an 11th season if asked.

“Denise plans to finish the season, but the jury seems to be out whether she continues after that,” the insider told Hollywood Life.

Although a premiere date has not yet been set for season 10, the new season will likely begin airing sometime this spring.
