Are the Cleveland Cavaliers in Crisis Mode?

Since LeBron James and Kyrie Irving left Cleveland, the Cavaliers continue to have some serious trouble building an all-so desired dynasty. Well, the trouble started long before those two exits. And again, with the coaching problems as it looks like former Michigan Wolverines coach-turn-NBA-coach for the Cavs, John Beilein, is headed out the door.

Although the team acquired Andre Drummond for their already crowded frontcourt, more needs to be done in the way of roster upgrade to turn this franchise around.

Trade Collin Sexton

The Collin Sexton-Darius Garland combo has been iffy from the beginning. The team is in desperate need of pure talent and trading away one of them to bring value to the roster might beef up their game. Sexton may be a nice fit as back-up to Celtic's Kemba Walker. He may fit over in with the Sixers as well and fulfill GM Elton Brand's dream for what he had hoped Markelle Fultz would accomplish three years ago.

With two years left on his rookie-scale contract, Sexton would be an affordable choice off the bench for either squad.

Trade Kevin Love to the Knicks

Trading the 31-year-old power forward Kevin Love may be more difficult than it sounds. A few teams feel his contract makes him unworthy of acquiring. It all boils down to the wise financial decisions when it comes to salary caps.

The Cavs are still seeking a first-round pick in exchange for Love and Love may be a nice fit next to R. J. Barrett. Knicks player Kevin Knox has struggled in the season. Since Bobby Portis has a team option on his deal for next year, perhaps New York can package Knox and Portis and clear out space to acquire Love.

Trade Tristan Thompson to the Lakers

A reunion with LeBron? Sure, why not. There has been a contemplation of a buyout regarding Tristan Thompson anyway. Whether or not Dwight Howard makes it to two years with the Lakers, joining Thompson with LeBron James and Anthony Davis would provide the team with a more defensive force of big men.

It would be more prudent if both sides wait until off-season for the sign-and-trade deal to secure Thompson a hefty payday being that the Canadian native could net more than the mid-level exception this way.

Get a Good Coach

Since a college-to-pros transition is notoriously difficult to navigate and it doesn't help to treat your players as if they were varsity players in junior high school, it would be best to woo an experienced NBA coach, if you can.

And if able to hire one, hope with all your might that the next season won't be like the last, having the second-worst team in the league. But the Cleveland Cavaliers seem to go through coaches like underwear, so we'll have to wait and see.
