Controversial talkshow host, Wendy Williams, has come under fire once again over comments she made on the death of popular family and sex therapist, Amie Harwick.

Dr. Harwick, who was once formerly engaged to Drew Carey, was tragically murdered in her Hollywood home on Saturday. An ex-boyfriend of hers has been arrested for the murder. Upon the public learning of the horrific incident, Williams thought it would be a good opportunity to make a joke at the expense of Carey's expense.

While filming her show, Williams said, "Drew Carey's ex-fiancée was tragically murdered over the weekend...Look, look it was like 3 o'clock on Saturday morning or something. Uh, huh, and there was screaming in the neighborhood in L.A."

She continued the joke with, "Once the cops got there she was down there dead, on the ground."

The audience gasped as delivered the disturbing punchline.

"Yep. Was pushed off of a third-floor balcony. I'll give you a little backstory. She was killed. Not by Drew," she concluded.

Williams delivered a final blow by shouting "Come on down!" which is the famous line from Carey's show "The Price is Right". Carey has hosted the gameshow since 2007.

The audience, along with users on social media, did not respond well to the tone-deaf attempt at comedy. Viewers have blown up on Twitter, slamming Williams for yet another inexcusable comment.

One user wrote, "I KNOW #WendyWilliams did NOT just make a "come on down" joke about Drew Carey's ex-fiancee getting killed by being thrown off of a third floor balcony !!!! Somebody tell me i heard that wrong, please..but the audience is stone-cold quiet.."

Another posted, "@WendyWilliams you have said some controversial things before but I think this one tops them all. Making a joke about domestic violence is no laughing matter. It was rude, disrespectful and down-right disgusting. I am a domestic abuse survivor and I truly hope you never endure"

This user even tagged CBS, calling or the removal of Williams from the network, "When will @CBS do the right thing and cancel @WendyWilliams show? There is no room in this world for the incomprehensible comments made by her. The comments that she reluctantly apologizes for are hurtful and unnecessary and have no place on afternoon TV."

Though Harwick and Carey ended their engagement in 2018, a rep for Carey stated that he is feeling immense grief over the loss.

In a statement made by Carey to Yahoo Entertainment, he said, "Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime...She was a positive force in the world, a tireless and unapologetic champion for women, and passionate about her work as a therapist. I am overcome with grief. I would like to thank you in advance for giving myself and everyone who loved Amie privacy while we try to work through this tragic situation."
