Ozzy Osbourne just announced in a statement. that he will cancel his upcoming North American tour in order to seek treatment for an illness in Switzerland, according to Rolling Stone. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six to eight weeks. I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time," the statement read.

Ozzy's North American tour was scheduled to run from May 27 through July 31 but will hopefully be rescheduled for either later in the year or next year instead. Ozzy still plans to do a European tour starting in October this year. The No More Tours 2 tour will move through the UK before heading out to cities in Europe including Zurich, Switzerland and Munich Germany, before finishing in Helsinki, Finland in December. Just in time to wrap up for the holidays.

Ozzy's No More Tours 2 tour will feature music from his album Ordinary Man, which will be Feb. 21, along with other hit songs he's known for. According to Rolling Stone, the new album features collaborations from legendary acts like Elton John, Post Malone, and members of Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Though Ozzy's had to cancel the North American leg of the tour for now, we feel pretty confident that it'll still be popular when it's rescheduled.

Ozzy has been dealing with a few health issues as of late, and it's unclear what exactly he's currently seeking treatment for, though it's most likely related to his Parkinson's Disease. Last year he fell, which took him out of commission for awhile. The British singer also announced his Parkinson's diagnosis. He told Good Morning America, "I'm no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore 'cause it's like I'm running out of excuses, you know?" His wife, Sharon, added that it's PRKN 2, one kind of Parkinson's.

It seems like Ozzy is doing his best to not let his Parkinson's slow him down. He and Sharon made an an appearance at the 2020 Grammy Awards — his first since announcing his diagnosis — to present the award for Best Rap / Sung Performance. He took the stage with a cane and some help from his wife but seemed to be in good spirits. This tour date cancellation may be a minor setback in Ozzy's career, but it seems like he's seeking the treatment he needs now so he can get back on the road and back with his fans.
