In April 2020, fans fell in love with the Netflix hit series “Tiger King.” One of the biggest characters was Joe Exotic, but was quickly landed in prison, due to crimes against animals.
Prior to Tiger King’s release on Netflix, Exotic was charged with 19 counts of wildlife crimes, as well as two, for putting out a hit on Carole Baskin. Baskin was another popular figure on Tiger King.

Joe Exotic Seeks Help From Cardi B, In Getting Out Of Prison
Back on October 21, Joe Exotic ended up writing a letter to Cardi, where he desired her help, in attempting to get him out of prison. The letter read:
“When you see the truth in Tiger King 2 I need you to rally everyone together to be my voice of freedom! Be my hero girl. Love, Joe Exotic.”
From that point, social media wondered if Cardi would actually read this letter, and even do something to help Exotic. Now, the “Up” rapper is now acknowledging him, on Twitter.
Cardi Finally Issues A Response, On Twitter
On Thursday night, Cardi finally noticed Exotic’s letter, and definitely seemed surprised. She asked if this is was the real “Tiger King.” Shortly after that response, John M. Philips, an attorney for Joe, expressed interest in getting her and Exotic, on a phone call.
“I represent Joe,” said Attorney Philips, to Cardi. “He heard about your message from prison. I’d love to put you two together on a phone call next week.”

Netflix Trolls Exotic, After Cardi’s Reply
Netflix joined in on the exchange between Cardi and Joe Exotic, as well. They ended up replying to Cardi’s tweet, as they asked, “Do they… have Twitter in prison? Genuinely asking.” This was met with plenty of laughter, in their mentions. Others mentioned how Netlix was able to make a lot of money, due to Tiger King. This is all as Tiger King 2 will be available on Netflix, on November 17.

Exotic Has Been Battling Cancer
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Tiger King star had also been battling prostate cancer. It went on to spread to his pelvis and stomach, and Exotic didn’t plan to get treatment. That was if the cancer would get worse. He was initially diagnosed in May, and wasn’t able to get President Joe Biden, to release him from prison, in order to receive treatment. Exotic went on to say that he’s “ready to die,” if it becomes a stage 3 or 4 cancer.
Exotic was also hoping to get pardoned by Donald Trump in January, on his last day in office, as president. That didn’t end up happening, as other big named did get their pardons, which included rappers Kodak Black and Lil Wayne. Exotic is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence, as he was initially convicted, back in January 2020.
