5. One Day at a Time

This reboot gives a heartwarming new spin to a hit 70's sitcom. Viewers find themselves inside the lives of Penelope Alvarez and her Cuban American family. The laugh tracks and use of multiple camera angles add a nostalgic feel to the new twist on an old favorite. The shows were in danger of cancellation but were saved by Pop TV. The show's salvation had heavy hitters like Lin-Manuel Miranda, who fought for the show, ecstatic! If a show grabs the attention of the creator of Hamilton then you know it is worth the watch!

4. Lost in Space

We have all heard the phrase "Danger Will Robinson", but how many of us know where it comes from? Well this reboot comes from a show in 1965 transformed into a movie in 1998 and finally into an over the top, exceeding expectation Netflix series in 2018. This Syfy adventure is a thrilling show about space exploration and the fight for survival on an unknown planet. With captivating special effects and high tech gear it will leave techies captivated until the very end.

3. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

While Sabrina the Teenage Witch is a classic from my childhood; The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a new adult spin that more closely relates to the gruesome yet captivating comics the story originates from. The love stories are more complex and the adventures deal with heaven, hell, and everywhere in between rather than turning the mean cheerleader into a pineapple. I challenge you to watch this show and spread the word that this is the best reboot of its time.

2. The Witcher

While not an original idea for Netflix, The Witcher is a brand all its own. It started off as books, led to games, and is now a highly talked about Netflix series full of monsters, witches, and exciting quests. The Witcher leads its viewers through three separate timelines of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. It's one of those shows you have to watch twice to fully grasp but you don't mind because it is so completely intoxicating. In the end, the timelines crash into one another in a splendid web of absolution, proving whether on not fate and destiny are real.

1. Wynonna Earp

This hit Syfy show is based on the Great Great Granddaughter of famous law man Wyatt Earp. As a decedent of Wyatt Earp myself I am a big fan of this show. Wynonna, her sister, Doc Holiday, and their friends battle demons and other creatures hell bent on destroying human kind. The LGBTQ representation on this show is part of what makes it so popular but what is truly extraordinary about this show is the casts connection to the fans. When Wynonna Earp was in danger of cancellation the fans made it was known just how important the show was to them and pulled it and the cast from the edge of cancellation. Wynonna Earp is more than just a show. It is a community where anyone who feels like they don't belong is welcomed with open arms.
