Hunter Biden is known for many things. For most of his life, he's been labeled the Achilles heel of now President Joe Biden, his father. That's because he's lived the life of the prototypical son of a high-profile politician. Getting himself into trouble for issues involving drugs, less than kind statements about minorities, women, and pretty much anyone under the sun. The president's son, though, is now looking to flip that perception presenting himself as an artist. According to some art critics, he's actually not that bad! They even predict that his collection is going to sell pretty well. Although that outcome may be more tied to who his father is rather than his actual talent.

Although the reviews that the work has gotten are mostly positive that doesn't mean that there are people lined up outside of Georges Berges gallery to look at Hunter Biden's work. Over the weekend on just the second day that the works were going to be on display, there was a total of four people present at the gallery! We don't even know if any of those folks were directly related to Hunter.

There could be a good reason though why the gallery isn't exactly selling out with Hunter Biden's collection. The gallery is keeping the entry to the gallery private. Potentially only accepting folks who are going to be interested in purchasing the artworks. According to the Post's art critic James Gardner, the pieces could go for around 70k to 90k each. You probably have to have pretty deep pockets to get an invite to even look at the paintings.

At Least The Critics Like Them

Although there aren't many people roaming the halls of the art gallery to look at the paintings James Gardner and other critics are giving Hunter a passing grade at least. Gardner classified Hunter as an actual professional painter. Saying that this wasn't a case where someone famous puts out artwork and just promotes it based on the fact that they're famous. Gardner mentioned,

“He knows what he’s doing. In some cases, it’s professional to the point of slickness,” He would go on to add, “This is not Madonna trying to put some stuff on a canvas,  he’s a real professional artist, ... It’s good enough to warrant a show even without his name.”

Hunter Biden's Name Does Elevate The Price Tag

If you're looking at the paintings and thinking to yourself that you could do something like that and collect around $70,000, don't quit your day job just yet. Gardner admitted that the price tag that he threw out as a potential landing spot for the paintings was a bit inflated. Considering that the artist happens to be the son of the President of the United States. Speaking of politics one of the few people who came out to see the painting over the weekend actually said that he was a Republican. Maybe Hunter's artwork can serve as a way to unite people from across the aisle!
