Things used to be pretty tense between Caitlyn Jenner and the rest of her family. Formerly known as Bruce Jenner, an award-winning Olympian, she transitioned in 2015 to fully become a woman. While most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan pretty much took her transition without much fanfare. However, when Jenner released her tell-all memoir in 2017, “The Secret of My Life,” he began to incur the wrath of the Kardashians. In the book, she publicly bashed her former wife, Kris Jenner, for starters.
After a transgender college student said he lost his ROTC scholarship because of Pres. Trump's transgender military ban, Caitlyn Jenner surprised the teen with a grant to finish school. https://t.co/PYOsqiN9Lo

In her book, she revealed that her family made her feel “inferior and weak,” and that Kris Jenner always knew of her desire to dress as a woman. Caitlyn said, “I told her I dressed as a woman, and she knew I did, because I did it several times in front of her after we were married.” When Kris got wind of this, she was fuming, and said, “He can go f himself. I honestly wish I never met this man. I mean, just f you, Bruce.”

Other members of the Kardashian family were pretty quick to clap back. Kim Kardashian-West, who was quite supportive of her stepfathers transition, said, “All Caitlyn can talk about is that my mom mistreated her and was awful and all these really rude things, when there’s no reason to bash my mom.” Khloé Kardashian said, “I don’t give a f**k what you want to do – just stop lying to us about things…” She also said, “Just lay it on the table, what are we doing? What’s happening? Even then he didn’t tell us…We didn’t know when he was going to start fully dressing as Caitlyn.”

On November 17, 2019, Caitlyn was a contestant on the popular U.K. hit show “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” She was eliminated seventh on December 6, 2019. Her departure drew criticism of her family, as they were not there to meet her when she emerged from the jungle. However, this was because Caitlyn reportedly not want to bother them. She said, “My family are very well-known. I never asked any of them to come down or expected them to — they all have businesses and families.” However, Kendall and Kylie both showed up at the airport with balloons to welcome her home.
Kylie and Kendall Jenner have always maintained a close relationship with Caitlyn. During the time that Caitlyn was on “I’m A Celebrity,” Kylie admits that the time was pretty rough for her, as she is close with her father. She said that in order to feel better, she would watch clips of Caitlyn on the show to feel closer to her. Kylie has recently revealed that she talks to Caitlyn almost every single day. Kylie says that she was very close to her father growing up, saying, “My dad was the best growing up. Never miss a sports game. Took us to school every day.”
There was no confusion when it came to what Kylie and Kendall should call Caitlyn after her transition. Kendall approached Caitlyn and asked her what she should call her. Jenner said “My kids all call me dad, Kendall asked me first and I said ‘dad,’ I’m your dad and I’ll always be your dad till the day I die. But what they’re really good at which shocks me all the time is when they’re talking about me ‘my dad,’ ‘she’ and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it.” She added the beautiful sentiment, “Bruce raised them and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them.”
