It's a tale as old as time: Famous people attaching themselves to the hottest celebrity of the moment, hoping to raise their profile, extend their 15 minutes or 30 minutes of fame, and remain relevant without having to go on reality television.

In the wake of "Megxit," dozens of celebrities have spoken out in support of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, clinging on to the new power couple like Saran wrap.

It was easy to see during the royal wedding that Harry and Meghan are happy to cater to Hollywood friends, including Oprah and George and Amal Clooney.

The Wolf Of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie recently spoke out in support of Harry and Meghan, even claiming she would like to have them over for dinner.

Robbie recently told The Sun, "I have known Prince Harry for a while and he is a really great guy. I know as much as anybody what a big decision it is to move halfway across the world."

She continued, "It isn't something taken lightly. If they are going to spend more time in LA, we would love to have dinner with them."

Clearly Margot Robbie is trying to bask in the glow that the soon to be non-royals will bring with them to the West Coast.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are clearly not chilling in their sweatpants while binge-watching Netflix since they stepped down from royal duties.

One would think they might like a break, but since arriving back in Canada they've hit the ground running (mostly in the direction of the celebrity world.)

The couple recently attended an investment summit in Miami, sponsored by JP Morgan where Prince Harry gave a speech touching on mental health. It was reported that the couple made between $500,000 and $1 million to attend the event.

It was full of some of the wealthiest celebrities in the world, including Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. Apparently, the couple dined with Meghan and Harry, with J-Lo inviting them out for a double date in the future. (Of course she did. )

Oprah Winfrey Supports The Couple

Oprah Winfrey attended the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, baffling some viewers who were unaware the talk show host was even friends with the couple.

In January, Winfrey told TMZ of her support for them, claiming, "I support them 1,000 percent."

She later continued, "(Harry) did what he needed to do for his family. I don’t think anybody has any right to say anything. When a person has thought what is the best decision to make for my family and then he makes that decision—none of us have any right to say anything about that.”

Winfrey is not the only one trying to get on the couple's good side; her best friend Gayle King was one of the very few reporters invited to the first viewing of baby Archie.

Celebrities Speak Out In "Support" Of "Megxit"

Celebrities in the U.S. fell over themselves to be the first to speak out in support of the couple stepping down from their royal duties, most likely hoping to claw their way into the inner circle of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Celebs like The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil were quick to jump on the support bandwagon, with Jamil tweeting, "And that folks, is what power looks like," within minutes of the "Megxit" announcement.

Even Bette Midler tweeted, "What a sad story. They hounded and bullied her until it was no longer tenable to stay, just like Diana. They'll never learn until it hits them in the wallet."

Only time will tell which celebrities will be the chosen ones who get to be part of the Sussex inner-circle. In the meantime, let the brown-nosing commence.
