Kate Middleton has been feeling the pressure since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped away from their royal responsibilities. Kate has had to take on extra work with foundations and she has spoken out about how the stress is affecting her. According to Bustle, Kate took a break from business to do an interview with author Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast. She discussed her “5 Big Questions” survey and how difficult the early stages of parenthood were.
She also admitted that she was really nervous about her first son Prince George’s first public appearance
“[It was] slightly terrifying, slightly terrifying, I’m not going to lie,” Kate admitted.
“Both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about and, you know, we’re hugely grateful for the support that the public had shown us,” she said. “For us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt was really important.”
“But equally it was coupled with a newborn baby, and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty of what that held, so there were all sorts of mixed emotions,” she continued.
Kate also opened up about how difficult it was to be away from her family after her son’s birth.
“I was keen to get home because, for me, being in hospital, I had all the memories of being in hospital because of being sick, so it wasn’t a place I wanted to hang around in,” Kate explained.
“It was the first year and I’d just had George [and] William was still working with Search and Rescue,” she recalled, “We came up here and I had a tiny, tiny baby … It was so isolated, so cut off. I didn’t have any family around and he was doing night shifts.”
Despite the struggle, Kate has proved that she is a great mother to her son Prince George and went on to have daughter Princess Charlotte and most recent child Prince Louis.
It recently came out that Kate Middleton would have more children if it wasn’t for one obstacle: her husband. She has been asked by fans if she plans on having a fourth child. She responded that she would but she didn’t think that Prince William would go for it. So it looks like there won’t be a fourth mini Kate or mini William running around any time soon. Fans will have to look to Harry and Meghan for more kids.
