Although the decision to relinquish roles as senior members of the royal family was thought to be more of a process, rather than an outright move, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have now provided a reason to believe that there will be no affiliation with the monarchy, moving forward.
Just recently, it was reported that the Buckingham Palace staff for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would either be fired or reassigned to another post, but what does this move mean for the former royal couple? And will they have anything to do with the family in the future?
According to Neil Sean, a UK-based broadcaster, who spoke with Fox News, he believes there are massive implications from the dismissal of the Buckingham Palace personal staff that included fifteen total people.
“It seems the final nail has been hammered in the separation of Prince Harry and his family thanks to the dismissals of their 15 staff members from the royal household who have been told they are ‘no longer required,” Sean shared. “I have been told quite a few staff members had hoped or offered to transfer over to Canada to continue a working relationship [because of] the fact they all loved [her husband] Prince Harry and working for him.”

And while some of their staff members had hoped to move over to North America to continue to assist Prince Harry and Meghan with what remains of their royal duties, that does not seem to be happening, as the couple has informed their staff that they would be ‘moving on’ from any royal affiliations.
Sean also noted that it appears that Markle is the one calling the shots, effectively removing any responsibility from Prince Harry. “Insiders also note that it’s Meghan that deals with this side of things and many believe it’s a simple case of her running the show and taking away any responsibility from Harry,” Sean revealed.

The implications could be damning for the royal family who is currently going through a crisis as the number of senior members is drastically dwindling. With the firing of the staff at the palace, the couple is sending a message that they have no intentions of remaining involved in royal duties or assisting the strain that has been levied on other members like Prince William and Kate Middleton.
“Another royal [source] tells me, ‘So much for keeping ties to Britain’, ” Sean claimed. “With this, they have effectively stated they have moved on and are not coming back long term, which is a shock not just for the staff but also for the queen who believed them when they said they wanted to keep an active role within the royal family.”
Although it appears that Markle is calling the shots regarding their family’s involvement, at least from North America, the royal family isn’t going down without a fight, according to royal insiders. They claim that Markle’s playing a ‘dangerous game’ and there’s only so much that they will take.
“A senior advisor told me, ‘She is playing a very dangerous game’ as the royal family will only take so much,” Sean added. “The general feeling is that we won’t see Meghan here again for a long time, as she has nothing here to do. Why would she come back now with no royal duties to perform?”
