Rihanna has no problem remaining single after her recent split with Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel.

The Bajan beauty had been seeing her former flame for two years, but according to sources the romance fizzled out over their hectic work commitments, consequently leading Rihanna to pull the plug.

And while it’s no secret that she’s been spotted with ex-boyfriend A$ap Rocky on multiple occasions since ending things with Hassan, sources say that there’s nothing romantic going on between the two - they’re simply good friends.

That would explain why Hollywood Life is claiming that Rihanna will be spending Valentine’s Day on her own this year.

The publication alleges that Rihanna isn’t bothered by the fact that she’ll be alone because, if anything, she’ll utilize the day to promote the latest release of her Savage x Fenty lingerie line to help other women feel sexy and confident for their significant other.

“She is perfectly content with it being a very chill day,” a source close to the singer explained.

“She doesn’t want to put any stress to it because she is having a good time being single and doing what she wants to do whether that is spending time with friends, working on music or her other ventures.”

Rihanna is the last person that would get with a man simply because it’s Valentine’s Day. She’d rather focus her attention on other things than to feel sad about not having a boyfriend.

With it being four years since the release of her eighth studio album “Anti,” the “Umbrella” hitmaker recently revealed she was actively working on a follow-up with the help of longtime pal and music producer Pharrell Williams.

That’s why Valentine’s Day is just another day for Rihanna, who is keeping herself occupied with work, music, and business instead.

The source concluded by saying: “And when it comes to her going on future dates, she is doing it all on her own terms because that is the person she is, she plays by her own rules.

"She doesn’t need a day like Valentine’s Day to tell her how she should feel or how she should approach it. She’s good!”

Rihanna’s ninth album has supposedly been in the works for months, but as of right now there’s still no release date attached to the project just yet.

Fans recently found out that reggae legend Shaggy was initially tied to one of the songs on the upcoming record, but when she allegedly asked the 51-year-old to audition for the part, he decided to back out.

“There’s a lot of great people involved but for me, I didn’t need to audition to be on the record, I’ll leave that to younger guys. But from what I hear it should be good,” Shaggy told The Daily Star.

Rihanna's rep has since denied Shaggy's claims.
