“I love you @laurenzima,” the 50-year-old Texas native wrote to his lover on Instagram. “It’s time to move on to the next chapter!”
Love is a beautiful thing, and as life would have it, no one is spared from cupid’s arrow. It’s amazing how love can get anyone and help them heal from their past. And the love of this “Bachelor” star is beautiful to witness.
Chris Harrison, the former Bachelor host, got down on one knee and finally proposed to Lauren Zima, his longtime partner. After three years of dating, the pair announced their engagement on Harrison’s Instagram account, with over one million followers.
But, something’s fishy, as Harrison deleted every single post on his Instagram.
Chris’s Early Career And Love Life
Christopher Bryan Harrison was born July 26, 1971, in Dallas. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School and received a soccer scholarship to Oklahoma City University.
He is a game and television show host from the United States. He is also famous for hosting ABC’s reality dating show “The Bachelor” from 2002 to 2021. From 2003, he also hosted its spin-offs like “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor Pad,” “Bachelor in Paradise,” “The Bachelor Winter Games,” and several others.
Between 2015 and 2019, he was the host of the syndicated edition of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”
Harrison’s second marriage is rumored to take place shortly. He was previously married to Gwen Harrison, his high school sweetheart, and they had two children; Joshua and Taylor. After 18 years together, the pair divorced in 2012.
In 2018, he allegedly started dating Zima, an Entertainment Tonight reporter and journalist. She, too, was previously married.
Chris & Lauren’s Love Story, Engagement
Harrison started dating the Emmy winner in August 2018. The following January, the duo made their red carpet debut as a couple at a pre-Screen Actors Guild awards party.
It was more evident when Harrison said, “‘I’d halt the world and melt with you’ @laurenzima, there’s no one I’d rather celebrate love with, and I’ll be your plus one anytime.”
The recently engaged couple sparked rumors of a secret marriage earlier this year when the former Bachelor presenter released a black-and-white photo of Zima clothed in a wedding dress.

After their engagement, Zima took to Instagram to express her delight at the news. The 33-year-old said, “I didn’t know love could be like this,” You are the most amazing partner. Thank you for championing me, loving me, and asking me to marry you. Here’s to the next fantastic chapter and all the rest.”
The couple then shared photographs from the romantic event. The proposal, which made headlines on the ABC reality dating program, took place in California’s Brand Napa Valley.
Why Did Harrison Delete All His Instagram Posts?
Harrison deleted all previous posts from his Instagram account. He left only the series of images from his romantic engagement to his partner.
While the pair has received congratulations messages from their friends and followers, social media didn’t spare them. Some critics accused him of wiping his Instagram clean to dodge accountability for the racism scandal he was entangled in earlier this year.
The 50-year-old was chastised on Instagram for “appearing as if nothing occurred,” according to the Date Card podcast’s Instagram account.
“I am both floored and not at all surprised,” a user commented. “I doubt he’s sweating this hard about that decision…” said another.
However, Harrison apologized for comments in a deleted Instagram post that “perpetuated prejudice.” He later stated that he felt “ashamed,” saying, “my ignorance caused damage.” Still, he hasn’t expressed any specific reason for his actions.
What’s Next For Harrison?
The irony is that Harrison got engaged just five months after leaving his longtime job as host of the “The Bachelor.”
“I’ve had a truly fantastic stint as host of the ‘Bachelor’ series, and now I’m delighted to begin a new chapter,” he confessed. “I owe Bachelor Nation a huge debt of gratitude for all of the memories we’ve shared. My two-decade odyssey is coming to a close, but the friendships I’ve created will endure a lifetime.”
After he cleared his Instagram media, Harrison only left the beautiful photos of his proposal to Zima, and he did not explain why he made such a bold move.
Maybe, Harrison is seeking a fresh start with the Entertainment Tonight correspondent as they begin their new life together. Or he’s preparing to be a husband to his recently engaged fiance. Whatever the reason, we wish him the best.
