Kendall Jenner is a part of the reality TV series, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and the second youngest of the KarJenner family. She hardly makes an appearance on the hit show as much as she used to because of her modeling career.

Thanks to her height of 5'10" and her classic runway look, she is the model of the KarJenner family. Since starting her modeling career in 2009 when she was just 14. Since she has made her way to the top of her career, she has modeled for many high-profile names in the fashion and beauty industry. She was also highly honored when she wore the angel wings for Victoria's Secret runway show.

Although she has had plenty of success over the years, she has also been highly criticized by her fans and colleagues alike. Some of them don't think she really has what it takes to make it 'big' as a model.

Jenner was named the highest-paid model in 2017 when she took the long-standing title from the Veteran model, Gisele Bundchen. This was determined when Jenner's earnings from her career and endorsements came out to a total of $22 million. Because of this income generated, Jenner was able to knock Bundchen down to the number two spot.

Although she has made a lot of money and was named the highest-paid model in 2017, many of her colleagues and fans don't believe she has the face, walk, or work-ethic to compete with the models of today.

She doesn't work nearly as much as many of today's successful models do. For this reason and because of some of the comments she made in 2018 about other more successful models than herself. Her comment in 2018 really pissed off a lot of the harder-working models and brought instant backlash against her.

During her interview with Love Magazine, she said, "Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do, like, 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do. More power to ’em.”

She continued her comment saying that working too much became 'overwhelming' for her and that she needed to 'take a step back.' Once her comment was read by her colleagues, they weren't happy and didn't hold anything back about how they felt about her.

The models she said worked 30 jobs per season, actually work 70-80 jobs per season. Those who work a lot harder at their career took to Instagram to let Jenner know how they really felt about her and her rude comment.

Model Alexandria Karpova shared her feelings about Jenner saying, "Being rich doesn’t allow you to disrespect your colleagues the way she did.”

Another model, Dario commented saying, "Whatever the fck those girls do’ is their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families. Oh, and it’s 70 shows a season by the way and we are all fcking proud of every single one of the girls that did it.”

Another model, Faretta said, “Being lazy is not being selective. We work! Hard and giving 100% from us, but you can’t say for yourself… and after all you dare to talk like this?!”

This is not the first time Jenner has experienced controversy. In fact, when she did a commercial for Pepsi in 2017, it was one of the biggest knockdowns to her reputation. This is because a lot of her fans thought it was in bad taste for her to promote Pepsi as something that can be consumed to help fix police brutality.

There is one thing for sure about this. If she wants to keep her higest-paid status from her career, she needs to watch what she says, work harder, and step up her game more.
