Jenna Bush Reflects on Dad George W. Bush's Friendship With Ellen DeGeneres

It is funny how sometimes politicians sort of relax after leaving office. The public opinion on them can change drastically when they are just portrayed as public figures rather than the President of the United States. That type of effect has come over the former president, George W. Bush's image in the last couple of years.

These days you are going to be able to find him at football games and doing other activities that pretty much the average American likes to do. He has become a lot more relatable to people.

It is not a secret that Bush is an avid Cowboy fan. He is one of the most constant fixtures at their games. He is not at every game, but he does make multiple appearances throughout the season. In these appearances, he ends up sitting next to all sorts of different people. You can get a picture like the one seen above with also former president Bill Clinton and Tony Romo in the front row.

In these games, he has also been known to take some trash talk from players when he walks on the field. He certainly was not seen as a man of the people back in his days as president.

Now To The Ellen Relationship

In a recent interview, the former president's daughter and also the host of "Today" Jenna Bush Hager was asked about her father's friendship with Ellen DeGeneres. As the two were spotted sitting next to each other back in October at a Cowboys game precisely.

Bush said, "My dad likes people that think differently than him, that believe differently, and people are surprised by this," She went on to say, "If you ask anybody that’s worked for him or knows him, plenty of the people that worked for him have different opinions or different lifestyles"

Ellen Also Spoke On The Matter At The Time

Of course, all of this can seem a little bit like old news. Given the fact though that the country is a bit divided yet again by political issues it has come to the forefront. Certainly, the way that Ellen handled the situation is memorable and can apply even years from now.

Which, is basically echoed by what Jenna Bush talked about when referring to her father. He may be a conservative, that does not mean that he is going to hate on people who have different beliefs.

We Will Be Seeing Them At Another Game?

Football season just ended and for a lot of people, this is a great time of the year because they can actually go out on Sundays with their family. Yet, for others, it is sad and tragic time and it only helps when they look forward to next year.

Are we going to be seeing Ellen and George at the stadium or in the show? It is actually pretty likely that either of those two things will happen in the upcoming months.
