Katie Maloney-Schwartz and her husband Tom Schwartz are keeping it real about their conception journey and a tough decision at the early stages of their relationship.
The couple, who tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019, spoke about their abortion and the anticipation of their fertility clinic visit.
Katie Maloney-Schwartz’s Conception Journey Hasn’t Been Easy
PEOPLE reported that the couple shared details about their pending fertility consultation on an episode of “Vanderpump Rules.” Tom is to collect his sperm analysis test results while Maloney will receive an ultrasound.
The 34-year-old told her husband she needed to complete the required paperwork before their scheduled visit. She noted that a section asked if she had been pregnant before.
This made Katie reflect on their decision to undergo an abortion. Tom said he did not mind her mentioning it as they made the best decision back then.
The “Harper’s Globe” star agreed with her husband. She said that the pregnancy happened when they were uncertain about their future as a couple.
Katie added that she knew she wanted to be a mother but not at that time. They wondered about how their relationship would have been without the abortion.
Tom thought they would have broken up over the pressure, but they “would have been good parents.” His wife said they are now prepared for the responsibilities of conception.
The reality star further revealed that she had the abortion she had 10 years ago. Katie said she and Schwartz had been seeing each other for a year, and the relationship was filled with fights.
The 34-year-old opined that “everyone, every woman, every person should be able to decide what’s best for them.” Tom added he would have stepped up and found a way to make things work if his wife had wanted that.
Katie And Tom’s Rollercoaster Relationship
The couple has had a drama-filled life together, and The Blast dived into their relationship timeline in April 2020.
On an episode of “Vanderpump Rules,” Tom called his wife “gross” and “a moron” for not being amused by a practical joke on Jax Taylor’s birthday.
The male co-stars planned a fake arrest on Tom Sandoval, who was put in handcuffs and seated in the back of a patrol car. Katie said, “This s*** is annoying to me. Like, turn on the news.”
Tom responded by asking her to “shut up” and then said he had never been more turned off in his life. He then added, “That’s why I don’t have sex with her.”
Katie received a public apology from her husband on “Watch What Happens Life” with Andy Cohen.
In the 3rd season of “Vanderpump Rules,” rumors spread that Tom had cheated on Katie in Vegas. The pair put the incident behind them and got engaged in season 4.
Tom then secretly went into therapy over his issues with his wife, and it led to a blowout when she found out. During the bachelor/bachelorette party, Tom faced backlash from attendees over his affair.
Reports show that Tom cheated again after their marriage, but Katie forgave him, saying she knows in her heart he would never repeat it.
