If you have been watching 90 Day Fiance, you know that the stories are increasingly wild with every new couple that joins the show. Do you remember Angela and Michael's fight in which she accused him of trying to bribe her with cake? What about when Colt and Debbie had the most codependent mother-son relationship Larissa could have imagined? And how about that time Jay cheated on Ashley three days after their wedding?

These relationships are getting more absurd, but is it just TLC "frauding" us again? Jay Smith weighs in on the allegations that the show is totally edited to make some people look worse than others.

The Former Claims

Recently, several cast members of 90 Day Fiance have made claims that the editing simply isn't doing all the cast members justice. On the most recent season, Michael Jessen planned to marry Juliana, a much younger woman. He and his ex-wife were very unhappy with the way they were edited. Michael was upset that he and his new wife were portrayed to have a contentious relationship about a pre-nuptial agreement. On the other hand, Michael's ex-wife believed she was edited to appear bitter and mean toward the new woman.

New Allegations of Editing

Now, former 90 Day Fiance cast member Jay Smith is weighing in on allegations of manipulative editing. If you do not remember, Jay came to the United States to marry Ashley Martson. They had a tumultuous relationship, and they even wed in a very private ceremony because people in Ashley's family did not support their relationship.

After the couple eloped and returned home, Ashley discovered that Jay had been on Tinder trying to hook up with women. He claimed he had been bored while Ashley was working and simply wanted to make friends. The two stayed together for a while, but later it came to light that Jay had cheated again.

Now, Jay does not claim that he was totally innocent in this entire debacle, but he does say that TLC took some liberties with his story.

In an interview with InTouch, Jay says, "The Tinder incident that happened, that was staged. . ." Clearly, the couple needed a little more drama for TLC to want to tell their story.

If what Jay says is true, it makes a lot of sense. After all, Ashley was pretty quick to forgive Jay for the scandal.

Jay was also portrayed as having cheated on Ashley with a woman in the bathroom of a barbershop. According to his recent interview, the entire incident was staged for the TV show--but not by Jay and Ashley.

Jay says, "To my knowledge, they got paid to do that." He says that the women got paid to cheat with him in the bathroom, and he choose to participate because he was going through marital struggles.

While Jay did commit infidelity, it is clear that there is much more than meets the eye on 90 Day Fiance.
