Catherine Zeta-Jones introduced fans to the newest member of her and Michael Douglas’ family on Tuesday. The actress shared a video showing off their new puppy.
“Introducing Taylor Douglas to the world,” she wrote in the caption. She confirmed in a reply to one follow that the dog is a Maltipoo.
Fans love the new fur ball.
“What an cuttie. Hello little fluffy Taylor,” one said.
“Awww so cute looks like a teddy bear so sweet,” another wrote.
“Congratulations! So darling! I hope your family is doing well after your Grandfather’s passing,” wrote another fan.
“Cuteness she’s going to bring you guys so much unconditional love and lots of wonderful happy memories to last a life time. Enjoy her so precious. I’m the mommy of three furry babies each one has my heart,” a fourth person said.
The dog addition comes one week after the death of Michael’s father, Kirk Douglas, at 103 years-old. He passed away on February 5th.
Michael remembered his father in a statement he released that day of his death.
“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103,” Michael wrote. “To the world he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.”
“But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad, to Catherine, a wonderful father-in-law, to his grandchildren and great grandchild their loving grandfather, and to his wife Anne, a wonderful husband,” he continued. “Kirk’s life was well lived, and he leaves a legacy in film that will endure for generations to come, and a history as a renowned philanthropist who worked to aid the public and bring peace to the planet.
“Let me end with the words I told him on his last birthday and which will always remain true. Dad- I love you so much and I am so proud to be your son. #KirkDouglas.”
Kirk Douglas was laid two rest last Friday in a private memorial service. Afterward, his grandson, Cameron, shared his own tribute to the legendary actor.
“The King. You will be sorely missed, but your run was nothing short of perfection! There are no words adequate to express the Love and reverence that I feel towards you. Your legacy lives on through the ages; as will my connection with you,” he wrote along with two throwback photos of Kirk.
