Ashley Graham has been very candid throughout her pregnancy, and now that she has welcomed her little one into the world, she still isn't holding back. The model took to Instagram to announce the birth of her son, Issac, who was born on January 18th. Issac is the first child for Ashley and her husband, Justin Irvin. As much as Ashley has been enjoying the bliss of motherhood, the struggles of postpartum are seldom discussed -- and Ashley wants to change that.

Oh, the joys of having a newborn. Sure, it is a joyful period, but all too often, that's the only aspect that's discussed about new motherhood. Well, as thrilled as Ashley is to have welcomed her son, she is not holding back about the more difficult parts of postpartum. "Raise your hand if you didn't know you'd be changing your own diapers too," Ashley cheekily begins an Instagram post, alongside a picture of her postpartum body while wearing disposable underwear.

Ashley continues her sentiment and describes the struggle she's experienced in the past few weeks, along with the one thing that's made it easier -- disposable underwear! "After all these years I never could've guessed that disposable underwear would be my favorite piece of clothing but here we are!" Of course, considering Ashley is one of the most well-known supermodels who has been dressed by some of the world's top designers, it is hilarious to consider that her new favorite piece is underwear -- but for good reason, of course.

"No one talks about the recovery and healing (yes even the messy parts) new moms go through," she continues in her post. "I wanted to show you guys that it's not all rainbows and butterflies!" While Ashley has certainly made pregnancy look like a breeze, she no doubt has experienced similar struggles to what many new moms go through. Unfortunately, as Ashley points out herself, the struggles of postpartum are often overlooked. We applaud Ashley for working hard to change the narrative!

This isn't the first time Ashley has gotten candid about the struggles that come with pregnancy and postpartum. As much as Ashley truly glowed during her pregnancy, she admits that she gained 50 pounds -- but that the weight didn't bother her! She made an honest effort to stay active during her pregnancy, through "working out, yoga, acupuncture and lymphatic massages", Ashley found great ways to stay healthy and fit. Obviously, it paid off -- her baby boy is healthy and Ashley herself is on the road to postpartum recovery!
