Rumors have been circulating about MTV’s former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans. After a breakup with her husband, David Eason, and filing a restraining order against him, Evans has decided to release her own statement.
Her new statement is meant to put recent rumors and speculation into perspective. What does Evans want us to know? Does she confirm any of the ongoing rumors? Will she appear on our TVs anytime soon? Evans hopes that her statement will quell any rumors.
Unless you are one of the people in my small circle, then you wouldn’t have any idea what’s going on in my life. Don’t assume you know who I’m talking to or not talking to. Don’t assume the worse for me because you read some fake articles. 💓

Evans hopes that people will understand her narrative, which people have watched for years on MTV. Beginning with 16 and Pregnant, much of Evans’s journey has aired for all too see. Now, Evans is saying that she is finally taking control of her journey. With the help of social media and YouTube, Evans hopes to share her own story about her life. In the meantime, she has a contract with MTV that is set to expire in April, and she is wondering what will happen next. Will she do something new? Will MTV decide they simply can’t lose the drama she brings?
Of her journey with MTV and filming schedules, Jenelle says she’s happy that part of her life is over for now. She says, “It’s really awesome, actually, because then it’s not like I’m worried about what’s about to air.” She no longer worries about people judging her for what viewers are seeing on TV. She can take more control over her narrative, and she seemingly finds freedom in this. She can make her own schedule and share the information she wants to share. She no longer feels the stress of having a camera in her face at all times.
Evans also claims that she’s more excited to work on platforms like YouTube compared to returning to Teen Mom 2. She states that working with people you do not want to film with, like the father’s of her three children and the children’s grandparents, is stressful. Evans claims that she is trying to avoid the drama for now, and she hopes that pursuing different avenues will allow her to do that. It is unclear at this time if Evans hopes to return to reality television at all.
Evans also released a statement via a blog she posted on her website. In her post, she addresses that she has enjoyed moving to Tennessee and finding an apartment in the area that she loves. She enjoys the availability of shopping, and her younger son was able to ride the bus for the first time.
For what it’s worth, Evans seems to be establishing roots in Tennessee. As for her relationship with Eason, Evans continues to deny that the pair are together.
