Nicknamed, "Mamba," the 433 yd par 4 will definitely be a featured hole during the televised coverage of the Genesis Invitational.

Much like the man Kobe was, the 8th at Riviera is one of the course's most dynamic holes and won't be giving away any easy birdies.

According to a course description provided by the Riviera Country Club:

"One of course designer George Thomas's all-time favorite holes, the eighth is another unique test in that it features split fairways, allowing the golfer to play down either the right side or the narrower, tree-lined left. The catch is that the right side leaves a long second across the barranca, while the left features a largely unfettered approach. But beware! This balance can change with the positioning of the pin, making the eighth one of Riviera's more thought-provoking holes."

Other Tributes by the PGA

The PGA Tour has been showing Kobe Bryant, and the rest of the victims in the fateful helicopter crash, tons of love since the accident occurred. In the first tournament after the deaths, the Waste Management Open, held at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona, displayed flags on the hole with Bryant's iconic. numbers of 8 and 24. They also honored the late NBA star with a special pin position on the most popular hole.

"Sunday's hole location on No. 16 @WMPhoenixOpen will be 24 paces on and 8 from the left to honor NBA legend Kobe Bryant," a statement from the PGA Tour read.

Along with the pin flags, some of the players on the PGA Tour showed love for Kobe, including stars like Tony Finau and Max Homa, who wore the #24 jersey throughout the tournament.

Justin Thomas also paid tribute to both Kobe and Gigi Bryant with a special purple & gold putter cover, and wedges stamped with "Mamba Mentality," one of Kobe's inspirational sayings.

Thomas also set up an auction for his Titleist wedges, and has vowed to donate all the proceeds to the MambaOnThree fund, which was set up for the other 7 victims who died in the crash along with Kobe and Gigi. The bidding, which lasts another week, has already reached $20,000.
