It's been a heartbreaking two weeks for Vanessa Bryant. On January 26th, 2020, both Vanessa's husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant lost their lives in a helicopter crash. There were nine people in total on the helicopter at the time, including the pilot, and there were no survivors. Vanessa has taken to Instagram in the past two weeks to express her gratitude for those who have shown support and sympathy during this difficult time. Today, however, she opened up about how hard it is to grieve the loss of both her husband and daughter at the same time -- and it's truly heartbreaking.

Vanessa penned a heartfelt update about her grieving process. "I'm reluctant to put my feelings into words," she begins the post. "My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can't process both at the same time. It's like I'm trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me," she explains. It's been just over two weeks since the tragic crash occurred, and many have expressed their condolences for Vanessa and the Bryant family on social media.

Vanessa continues the post by expressing her frustration about her daughter's life being cut so short. "Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn't being able to have that opportunity?! I'm so mad," she explains. "She had so much life to live." Gianna Bryant was only 13-years-old when she tragically passed away in the crash. Two of the other victims -- Payton Chester and Alyssa Altobelli -- were also only 13 years old at the time of their death.

Upon expressing her frustrations about losing two family members, Vanessa notes that she must remain strong for the sake of her surviving family. "I realize I need to be strong and here for my 3 daughters. Mad I'm not with Kobe and Gigi but thankful I'm here with Natalia, Bianka, and Capri." Vanessa's surviving daughters are 17 years old, 3 years old, and 3 months old, respectively. Vanessa then continues her post by noting that her feelings are "normal", but still just as difficult to cope with. She ends the post by urging people to continue praying for "all of the victims of this horrible tragedy."

Fans and celebrities have been pouring out their condolences and memories of Kobe, including Jay-Z, Jamie Foxx, and Kim Kardashian. Kobe has now been honored at both the Grammy Awards and last night's Oscars. Both Kobe and Gianna's deaths were incredibly untimely -- in fact, the two were traveling at the time to Kobe's Mamba Basketball Academy. Kobe was incredibly proud as Gianna was determined to follow in her father's basketball footsteps, already an accomplished player herself at just 13. We're wishing Vanessa love and support during this incredibly tragic time!
