Vanderpump Rules cast member Brittany Cartwright is speaking out about the future friendship between her husband of several months, Jax Taylor, and his former best friend, co-star Tom Sandoval.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, both Cartwright and Taylor discussed the men’s relationship and after Taylor admitted that he should have never included Sandoval in their June 2019 wedding as the Best Man, Cartwright revealed whether or not she believes her husband and Sandoval will ever be friends again.
After Taylor confirmed that Sandoval should have been a guest at his wedding and not his Best Man, Cartwright said that if Sandoval hadn’t been included in their wedding party, at least as a groomsman, Taylor would have regretted the decision down the line.
“I have a feeling, in five years, if Tom Sandoval was not in our wedding photos that would be very weird for Jax,” she admitted.
Sandoval served as the Best Man alongside Tom Schwartz when Taylor and Cartwright tied the knot and later on during season eight, fans will watch the event play out on Vanderpump Rules.
While Taylor believes he and Sandoval are in different places in their life and want different things for their futures, Cartwright has faith that they will one day be close friends again.
“Like, they’re gonna be friends again, I know it — and they are friends, it’s not that they’re not friends,” she explained.
Taylor and Sandoval are still civil with one another at this point in time but it is clear that they are nowhere near as close as they once were.
Adding to the tension between Taylor and Sandoval is the fact that Taylor and Sandoval’s girlfriend, Ariana Madix, have been feuding for weeks.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in January, Taylor caught Madix’s attention when he shockingly suggested that she doesn’t want children because she “likes women.”
Cartwright attempted to defend her friend, saying, “She likes everybody — just like most of us do,” but Taylor continued to diss Madix by suggesting she was lying about her sexuality.
“Just own it. That’s fine. Just don’t lie about it,” he stated.
After being dissed by her boyfriend’s former best friend, Madix clapped back at her Vanderpump Rules co-star by slamming his comments as “really gross.”
“I also thought it didn’t make any sense on any level. I mean there are lesbians who have children. There are lesbians who don’t. There are women who have children who are married. And there are women who are married, who don’t. Like, none of it made any sense,” she explained.
Madix also said her sexuality wasn’t a problem in her relationship.
