Kylie Jenner has fully admitted that her 2020 Oscars Afterparty dress was so tight, she wasn’t able to sit down. The 22-year-old makeup mogul and reality star made a high-profile appearance following the annual awards ceremony, also taking to Instagram to show off her form-fitting and crystal-embellished gown.
Kylie opted for Ralph & Russo, rocking the designer’s dress with a full glam vibe, but the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star got honest in her Instagram caption as she admitted that putting style before comfort came with its consequences.

Kylie’s dress was a winner. The blue number was strapless and accessorized with tulle detailing at the chest, also boasting ruffles near the waist. It was glittery, girly, sophisticated, oh, and apparently very uncomfortable.
Kylie posted two photos of her look. While the first showed the Kylie Cosmetics CEO standing and posing with her arms by her side, the second showed the mom of one attempting to sit inside her vehicle – horizontal positioning as Kylie attempted to sit in her limo showed a bit of a fail.
“couldn’t really sit in this but it was worth it ?,” Kylie wrote to accompany her photos.
Kylie may receive mixed reviews over some of her wardrobe choices, but this look proved a hit amid the star’s fans. Users quickly filled up the comments section to the post, with fans proving wowed by the look.
“Wowza,” one fan wrote.
“This dress,” another said.
One fan did ask a practical question, though – “What about going to the toilet?” they wrote.
The update also proved popular overall, clocking in an impressive 5.1+ million likes overnight. Celebrity likes came in from Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, plus “Basketball Wives” alum Draya Michele.
The Oscars may be about the acting faces, but the Afterparty is open to all kinds of A-Listers. Kylie was joined by big sister Kim Kardashian at the Vanity Fair bash, with 39-year-old Kim wowing in the Alexander McQueen “oyster” gown she was gifted by husband Kanye West. The KKW Beauty founder contrasted Kylie with her feathery and cream-colored dress, posing alongside her youngest sibling for a series of photo ops.
As for Kylie’s Ralph & Russo dress, it seems that the billionaire has a love for the designer – Kylie and Stormi twinned in custom-made Ralph & Russo for their Christmas Eve looks.
The Oscars brought plenty of trending topics on social media. Twitter near-exploded as Brad Pitt won his first acting Oscar for “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood,” with the platform likewise erupting as rapper Eminem surprised fans with a performance of “Lose Yourself.”
Also trending was Blac Chyna. The reality star and ex to Rob Kardashian was an unexpected guest – for Twitter, there was some confusion over Chyna’s presence – she is neither an actress, nor was she presenting any awards.
