After achieving success as an actress and former TV host, Olivia Munn is ready to embrace the new chapter of her life as a soon-to-be mom.
In a candid interview with ET, the 41-year-old dropped major bombshells about her new movie, “Violet,” and the A-list celebrity cast. Amid this juicy conversation, Munn also revealed that she couldn’t wait to meet her child.
Speaking to ET’s Matt Cohen, it was pretty clear that Munn is super elated about having her first baby with boyfriend John Mulaney.
When she was asked about her expectations as a soon-to-be mom, “The Predator” actress recalled her previous conversation with Justine Bateman on the subject. Munn said:
“Justine and I had a long conversation about this the other day,” she began, “honestly, I’m just excited about meeting whoever it is, and bringing a little person into this world.”
The former TV host and Mulaney are rumored to have broken up; however, ET clarified that these allegations were false.
Although “Violet” is set to be released in theaters on October 29, Munn has given away a few exciting spoilers. The “Beyond the Break” star brought the title character to life using her battles as a guide.
The film’s plot revolves around the actress’s character “Violet,” as she struggles against her inner voice, which torments her with insecurities.
This terrible voice is played by Justin Theroux, while Violet’s childhood friend, Red, is played by Luke Bracey. Bateman made her directorial debut with the movie, and Munn had nothing but praises for the actress.
The soon-to-be mom told the news outlet that the “Family Ties” star’s vision was precisely what the film needed.
The 41-year-old admitted that she couldn’t have portrayed the emotional turmoil her character faced without Bateman’s support. In her words,
“She came in with a strong vision which you really need for this film, and especially for me, there was so much heavy stuff to go through and I really needed her support through it.”
The director shared similar praises about the cast, especially Theroux for excelling at his role as Violet’s disturbing inner voice. The movie will be available on-demand at home by November 9.
Munn And Mulaney
The Blast recently reported that Munn and her man were making headlines after an anonymous message on the gossip account “DeuxMoi” stated the couple had allegedly gone their separate ways.
Although it is unclear when the pair began dating, Mulaney confirmed their relationship and the news of Munn’s pregnancy on the show “Late Night With Seth Meyer” in September.
Aside from the break-up rumors, other sources have claimed the couple’s relationship wouldn’t last.
The assumption arose because the comedian’s marriage to Anna Marie Tendler ended on a sour note as the 39-year-old was accused of being a cheater.
At the moment, nothing is certain about the couple’s relationship status. But from Munn’s recent interview, it is safe to say that the soon-to-be mom is in a good place with or without Mulaney.
