It seems that before Megxit happened, meaning the exit of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from The Royal Family, Prince Harry, and his older brother, Prince William weren’t getting along that well. Some of the UK newspapers even wrote false reports on them saying that the two brothers actually ‘hated each other.’ However, this wasn’t true at all. Although there was some tension between them, ever since they moved apart from each other, once Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved away, leaving their Royal Duties behind, the brothers started talking more and don’t ‘hate each other.’
Although the true relationship between the brothers is not totally clear, they are working to improve things now.
During the documentary with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Prince Harry revealed that there was some truth to all of the gossip about him and Prince William.
He said during an interview in the documentary, “Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under… inevitably, you know, stuff happens. But, look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and, as I know, he will always be there for me.”
He chalked some of the feudings between them because of their busy schedules. He said, “We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy, but I love him dearly. The majority of stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days and you have bad days.”
Together, the two brothers issued a statement regarding their so-called feud. The statement read, “Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge. For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
Despite the rumors going around, because of the false reports by some of the UK newspapers, they never really hated each other as these newspapers reported about them. Just like Prince Harry stated, they are always going to be brothers, it’s just that sometimes family members don’t agree on everything.
According to a new report, and according to a close source to the Royal Family, “talking more and they’re on better footing” ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their Royal Duties and moved to Canada.
The source said, “The brothers don’t hate each other as has been reported. They do talk.” It appears that ever since Meghan and Prince Harry left the Royal Family and moved out, the relationship between the two brother’s improved.
According to the source, “The separate households that were created improved the relationship so they weren’t having to talk about business. “The brothers have different futures with very important institutional roles and that created a complicated relationship. Once the households separated, things improved.”
However, also according to the source, although they didn’t hate each other as everyone believed, Prince William and other members of the Royal Family were not one bit happy when they left and let go of their Royal Titles. In fact, some of the family members, including Prince William, felt ‘blindsided’ by the actions taken by Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.
Although this was the case, everyone still wanted the couple to be happy. And, if this means living away from the rest of the Royal Family and letting go of their Royal Duties, then they have accepted it.
Another close source to the family said that although Harry was the one who ultimately made the decision to leave everything behind and live a quieter and more comfortable life with his wife and son, it wasn’t an easy decision for him to make but he loves his family.
