Elizabeth Hurley‘s words appear to contradict her actions. The “Austin Powers” actress, model, and swimwear designer is currently making headlines for stating that parading around in bikinis is something she’d “never” do – at the same time, the British beauty’s social media is packed with red hot swimwear snaps – that bikini body is still driving fans wild.
Elizabeth, 54, recently opened up on the “My Wardrobe Malfunction” podcast with Susannah Constantine. Hurley’s words come less than three weeks after she stripped down to a stunning red bikini to promote her Elizabeth Hurley Beach range.
“Most people are fine lying down, but when they stand up they want to cover up, including me,” Elizabeth said on the podcast, adding that she likes to keep herself covered up.
“I like to cover up a lot. I certainly wouldn’t walk round a public beach parading in a bikini anymore. I’m much too old. But, privately, of course,” she added.
The closing statement technically offers a loophole in avoiding any hypocrisy – parading around “privately” for those Instagram snaps does see Hurley avoiding the “public beach” scenario.
Elizabeth’s most recent swimwear snap was so hot, it made headlines as floored fans just couldn’t get over the bikini body – particularly since the “Gossip Girl” star is nearly 55.
The photo showed Hurley posing with her legs parted and poolside as she flaunted her crazy body in a red halterneck bikini accessorized with gold chain finishes. The sun-drenched shot showcased nearly every part of this age-defying star’s killer physique, and it didn’t go unnoticed. The snap currently sits at over 147,000 likes.
Elizabeth is definitely looking trim these days. That said, the star has revealed that grueling workouts aren’t her jam.
“I don’t do any regulated exercise, but I’m very active. On the weekends I go for long hikes with my dogs. I try and stretch every day. I do the occasional yoga or Pilates class, but mostly it’s just self-exercise at home. I might do some stomach exercises or some bottom or arm exercises, but because I trained for a dancer when I was young, I sort of know all the exercises,” she told The Cut in 2017.
Elizabeth was also probed over her nutrition. The star revealed a love for produce grown in her native England, but for Liz, it’s better when it comes from the county she lives in.
“When I’m at home in the country, I always try and eat food that’s grown locally,” she explained, adding:
“That goes for meats and vegetables. Not only do I like things grown in England, I like things grown in Hertfordshire, which is the part of England that I live in.”
