The Warrior singer, Kesha, has been ordered to pay a hefty fine as part of the judgment in the ongoing Defamation case between her and the famous music producer, Dr. Luke. According to legal documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Kesha has been ordered to pay a grand total of $373,000 as part of judge Jennifer Schecter's ruling.

This case stems from a text back in 2016 sent from Kesha to Lady Gaga, claiming that Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, had raped Dark Horse singer, Katy Perry.

Perry denied these allegations in 2017, the grueling battle lasting years. Judge Schecter's ruling is both direct and concise,

"There is no evidence whatsoever that [Dr. Luke] raped Katy Perry. Moreover, the publication of a false statement to even one person, here Lady Gaga, is sufficient to impose liability."

The legal teams of both Kesha and Dr. Luke go all out, pulling all the shots. During the hearing, there were discussions raging from Kesha's intent to Dr. Luke's public status.

Following the court proceedings, Dr. Luke's legal team released a statement to Entertainment Tonight,

"Dr. Luke is pursuing this lawsuit to seek recovery for the serious harm Kesha's false accusations of rape have caused Dr. Luke, his family and his business. Today's important decision by the Court in Dr. Luke's lawsuit brings him closer to the justice that he seeks,"

The statement goes on, detailing the court's decisions, "First, the Court has now ruled that Kesha made a false and defamatory accusation about Dr. Luke when she baselessly claimed that he raped Katy Perry."

"Second, the Court rejected Kesha's attempts to invoke legal technicalities to avoid responsibility for her statements. And third, the Court also correctly held that Kesha breached her contract with Dr. Luke's company," the statement continued. They're clearly not happy.

And added in at the end, wrapping their statement up nicely, adding a pretty pink bow, "Dr. Luke looks forward to the trial of his case where he will prove that Kesha's other false statements about him were equally false and defamatory."

A comment made to Entertainment Tonight by Kesha's legal team, responds short and simple. What more can they really do though?

"Judge Schecter issued rulings today on motions for summary judgment in the Dr. Luke litigation. We disagree with the Court's rulings. We plan to immediately appeal."

Can Kesha afford this setback? According to Famous Births Deaths, Kesha's net worth is $40 million. So yes, $373,000 is a huge number to many of us, but doesn't seem like it'll be a nasty deal for this celebrity. Hurt feelings stretch far though.
