Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit from the royal family has caused shake-ups in virtually every element of the family. Some of those changes have been for the worse, while others have had a largely positive impact.

In the wake of Megxit, there are many royal observers who think that Prince William and Kate Middleton look more relaxed than ever. In fact, the couple have been more willing to push boundaries in the aftermath of Harry and Meghan's decision to leave.

Initial reports out of the meetings around Harry and Meghan's departure suggested that William and Kate would be forced to pick up a lot of the slack now that there are fewer members of the royal family to complete official duties.

While that may be the case, William and Kate seem to be more than capable of handling the pressure being placed on them. In their latest series of public engagements, the couple has seemed more relaxed than they've ever been.

Not only does the royal couple seem more relaxed, they also seem to be much more willing to show affection for one another. When they first started making appearances as a royal couple, Kate and William were fairly reserved with one another in public.

That's a standard that adheres largely to royal protocol. In the past, kings and queens have always kept a safe distance from one another in public. In the aftermath of his brother's departure, though, William's getting a bit laxer.

According to The Sun, body language expert Judi James examined photos from the couple's latest outing and determined that they're showing more affection for one another than they ever have before. In addition to physical contact, the two are exhibiting more non-physical signs of affection as well.

“William and Kate do seem to be bringing more non-verbal signals and touches into their ‘routine’ post-Megxit though, apparently understanding that they can push the boundaries a little without suffering from obsessive interest and criticism,” James said.

James also thinks the couple seems more relaxed. “Kate tends to be more active and demonstrative but William mimics enough to make it mutual and he seems to mutter asides into Kate’s ear to prompt most of the joking,” James explained.

Although Harry and William's relationship has been contentious in recent years, it's possible that Harry inspired his brother to loosen up. After all, if Harry's proved anything in recent years, it's that some royal rules were made to be broken.
