Gizelle Bryant is giving romance another go! The star kept her daughters in the loop with a conversation on the topic of dating.
The "Real Housewives of Potomac" star, who is single again, had shared in 2019 that she and ex Jamal Harrison Bryant rekindled their relationship. The two were married in 2002 and divorced in 2009 following Jamal's cheating scandal.
The former couple share three daughters, 16-year-old Grace and 15-year-old twins Angel and Adore. The news of Gizelle being single was made public by the reality star in July.
A Candid Discussion With Her Girls
PEOPLE reported that, on Sunday's episode of "RHOP," Gizelle asked her daughters how they felt about her going out now and again.
Angel bluntly responded with, "We just don't want you alone and gross, by yourself," while Adore said they do not want her to die alone.
Gizelle was taken aback by their unfiltered comments, but her daughters continued their critique. Angel said it looked like their mother wanted nobody near her. Adore added that Gizelle was "pretty lonely."
The mother-of-three then confessed that she was currently casually dating but not looking for any serious relationship. The show's producers asked who the new lover was, but the star responded that it was none of their business.
Coming To A Revealing Conclusion
Gizelle ruminated on her daughters' comments and noticed they called her out for being emotionally unavailable.
The TV personality said she did not want them to be that way when they start dating or in their current relationships.
The teenagers added that it was easier said than done because they could not look up to their parents in that department.
Grace explained that it was not Gizelle's fault, but emotional vulnerability may be hard for them their whole lives since they never had that experience.
The mother-of-three said she was born with walls she could not understand until her daughters told her, adding that she was emotionally as tough as it gets.
The 51-year-old said she did not want to be so rigid that her children would no longer consider her a positive role model.
Gizelle added that she could have discussed things with Jamal to make their relationship better but chose not to. The star told her children it was okay to talk about their feelings and promised to do better.
Off To College Soon
The Daily Dish by Bravo TV reported that Gizelle's eldest daughter Grace had begun touring colleges to make the right choice.
On October 9, Gizelle shared the exciting new milestone on Instagram with a couple of heartwarming photos featuring her and her three teenagers.
These images were taken at a football game during a tour of Florida A&M University. Gizelle gave thanks to the college's President and Vice President, who welcomed her daughter warmly.
The post was well-received by other "RHOP" co-stars, including Candiace Dillard, who showered Grace with love and support.
