Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke the news about their Megxit which seemingly caught the royal family in surprise just like the public. The royal couple had not agreed with the Queen or Harry’s brother about their stepping back from their high positions. Queen Elizabeth II revealed this in her Instagram post following their announcement.
Harry has always had a rift with his brother Prince William, and perhaps this explains why he did not inform him about his decision to break the news to the public.
As for his father, it is still a concern about how he went on to announce without his consent, despite knowing the weight of the matter. Harry had allegedly tried to access Queen Elizabeth before the Megxit announcement but was blocked, opting to go ahead with his decision.
Harry and Meghan had given the royal family a hint that they wanted to step back from their senior positions, although the timing of their Instagram announcement was unexpected. He allegedly informed his father some minutes before releasing his post.

According to reports, Prince Charles and William were burning with rage, given that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan blindsided everyone else. The royal family found out about the Megxit on television and felt backstabbed by the Duke and Duchess’ decision.
Express.co.uk reported that their staff had also warned them against going public before finding time to discuss the matter with the family. However, the two seemed to have a strange ‘siege mentality’ and are now painting an unfair picture of the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have hinted about their desire to step back and also began to distance themselves from the royal family. Towards the end of last year, they went away from their royal duties for six weeks. They, along with their son, toured Canada and the U.S., with reports suggesting they were up to future projects development.
Later, their announcement came as a confirmation of their desire to distance themselves from the family and their royal roles.
Going by the reports from sources close to the royal family, Both Prince William and his brother Prince Harry were mummy’s boys. They never at one time sought the approval of their dad, despite being the only parent alive.
The two sons of Charles were at one time united before a rift developing between the two. According to a statement given by the royal editor and writer, Camilla Tominey, people had been questioning why their father had not taken the initiative to unite them.
