Henry Cavill has raised himself to a blockbuster-level star in recent years. From his outings as Superman in the DCEU to his appearances in movies like "Mission: Impossible — Fallout," he's been an irreparable part of some of the hit movies to hit the screen in recent times.

He has also made a name for himself in the world of fantasy streaming shows, having brought to life Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's "The Witcher" adaptation.

It is not shocking to know that "The Witcher" is one of Netflix's most successful original series to date. Per Digital Spy, the fantasy series broke records for the streaming platform. About 76 million households tuned in to watch the show in its first four weeks of release.

With the next season of "The Witcher" set to arrive soon, fans are gearing up for another phenomenal experience. However, some details have been revealed about how much the lead actor makes from each episode.

According to Variety, Cavill supposedly earns $400,000 per episode before taxes and other fees. The second season of "The Witcher" on Netflix will feature eight episodes like the first season. This means that the actor will make a whopping $6.4 million, assuming that his pay packet remains the same for Season two.

Of course, if the show were indeed the massive success story that Netflix claimed it was, it wouldn't be surprising if Cavil was given a raise for his efforts.

Vogue also released a report on the year's highest-paid film stars, which could be compared directly to the small-screens top earners.

While TV salaries paled compared to feature films, there were a lot of opportunities for movie stars to cash in on the streaming boom with cinematic television.

However, Cavill's salary is dwarfed by Robert Downey Jr.'s "The Sympathizer" and Chris Pratt's "The Terminal List," who both stand to make over $1 million per episode.

It should be noted that RDJ and Pratt's salaries were both from limited series, so they were only able to earn a fixed amount.

It is set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as "the Continent" and explores the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who are bound together by destiny.

Together Geralt and the love of his life, Yennefer, tried to protect the princess. As a result, they altered the course of destiny and changed a continent's dynamics on the brink of war.

Its ensemble of casts includes Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Eamon Farren, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Royce Pierson, Mimi Ndiweni, and several others.

The first season consisted of eight episodes and was released on Netflix in its entirety on December 20, 2019. It was based on "The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny," collections of short stories that preceded the main "Witcher" saga.

The second season, consisting of eight episodes, is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021. In September 2021, Netflix announced that the series had been renewed for a third season.
