If there is one thing the public knows about the Duggar family, it’s that they are known for having children.
In a shocking twist, the Duggar family has yet to announce a new pregnancy in 2020. In 2019, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar welcomed five new grandchildren to the world.
Will Joy-Anna Duggar be the next Duggar to announce a pregnancy? Fans of Counting On are convinced she is going to be the next Duggar to announce a pregnancy.
In July of 2019, Joy-Anna announced she had miscarried her pregnancy after five months. She shared heartbreaking photos with baby Annabell on Instagram. She also shared her story in the hopes it would help others also facing a similar tragedy.
Joy Anna also lost her grandmother, Mary Duggar, in 2019. Mary’s funeral was shown on Counting On with several members of the Duggar family speaking about the loss. Her death was certainly a major heartbreak for the Duggars. Mary was Jim Bob Duggar’s mother.
One reason fans say Joy-Anna might be pregnant? She hasn’t posted a picture showing her body on Instagram since Christmas. Is Joy trying to hide a bump?
Certainly, fans are not blaming Joy for not discussing a new pregnancy. After her devastating loss, it makes sense that she wants to experience some highs and lows in private. For somebody who has grown up in the spotlight, this is surely difficult. Joy has appeared on screen since 2004 when the family appeared on a TLC special called 14 Children and Pregnant Again!
Some Duggar fans speculate that Joy and Austin will wait to announce a pregnancy until they have reached the fifth month mark. This is past the point in the pregnancy in which Joy miscarried, and she may want to ensure that she does not have to go through heartbreaking loss in the spotlight once again.
In the meantime, Joy-Anna memorializes her daughter with artwork and jewelry. She also posts frequently about the love she she shares with her husband and young son.
Just days ago, Joy-Anna wished her best friend, Carlin Bates, congratulations on the delivery of her new baby girl.
“Can not wait to see you in a couple of weeks!” Joy writes. It is clear that Joy is genuinely happy for those in her life who are expecting. She has also been very supportive of her sisters and sisters-in-law who have announced their own pregnancies in the last six months.
In the wake of her loss, Joy initially said she might struggle to see her pregnant sisters and sisters-in-law after her loss, especially because they were all due around the same time she was. Of course, it is not without some difficulty. “But you think, ‘What would my baby look like? What would she be like?’” she said in a November statement.
Joy-Anna and Austin are tight-lipped about their plans for a child in the future. Will a new baby join the family? Will Gideon have a new brother or sister soon? One thing is certain: the Duggar family rarely waits long to announce that somebody is having a baby soon.
For the first time in what feels like forever, no Duggar family members are expecting. Fans are waiting patiently for an announcement regarding an upcoming birth or perhaps even a courtship.
