Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney’s friendship faced hardships during the eighth season of Vanderpump Rules last year and unfortunately, the drama between them appears to have put an end to their years-long relationship.
According to a report shared by Heavy this week, Doute and Maloney are no longer close and have shown no signs of rekindling their friendship in recent weeks.
In fact, the ladies barely spoke to one another in November when they were forced to attend BravoCon together with the rest of the cast.
In Heavy’s report, it was noted that Doute had admitted to being unsure about why she and Maloney had a falling out.
During an appearance on the Kickin’ Back with Kelly podcast days ago, Doute said she was actually excited to watch the episodes of Vanderpump Rules season eight-play out because she hoped they would help her understand what caused the rift between her and Maloney.
Judging by their social media posts, Doute and Maloney haven’t been on good terms since last summer.
As fans of Vanderpump Rules have seen over the past few episodes, the relationship between Doute and her former boyfriend, Brian Carter, was a hot topic for her co-stars and something that appeared to cause tension between Doute and Maloney.
During the second episode of the season, Maloney and Jax Taylor were seen at Doute’s house where they attempted to help her unpack as they questioned what was going on between her and Carter, and whether or not he would be moving in.
Last week, Hollywood Life revealed that during Doute’s appearance on the Kickin’ Back with Kelly podcast, Doute opened up about her strained relationship with Schroeder.
“I hope that we [make up], and I hope that it happens sooner than later because I feel like at some point there’s a possibility that I will get to a point where I just say, ‘Do I even want that anymore?’” Doute noted, adding that she hasn’t yet gotten invited to Schroeder’s upcoming wedding.
Although Schroeder may not have ever met and began dating Clark if it weren’t for Doute introducing them years ago, Schroeder has not yet sent her former friend a save the date card for their upcoming wedding in Rome, Italy.
“I have not gotten a save the date in the mail,” she said. “I’m definitely not a bridesmaid…I heard she has nine.”
Schroeder has not yet confirmed which, if any, of her Vanderpump Rules co-stars will be included in her bridal party.
