The extremely popular fundamentalist Christian family that graced our television screens on TLC seems to have some skeletons in their family’s closet. None of us are perfect, even though they appear to want to put on that persona for their television audience and loyal fans. An internet user with an obscure identity has dished on some of the family’s biggest secrets to date. No, it is not Derrick Dillard, spilling the beans, either. Let’s delve a little deeper.
Back in November 2019, there was word that The Department of Homeland Security was on the scene at a car lot owned by a member of the Duggar family. While the Duggar family outright denies any involvement with the government agency, an HSI spokesperson was able to confirm that yes, the Department of Homeland Security was at said car lot. However, past that, no other information was offered up after the incident. But followers of the story are still hoping for follow up on this story.
Let’s not forget about one of the first scandals to rock the family foundation. Eldest child Josh Duggar was accused of molesting a few of his siblings and a family friend back in 2015. Josh himself got little more than a slap on the wrist and total forgiveness from his sisters, TLC decided to cancel 19 Kids and Counting. But fear not! The family found a way around it, with Counting On, a show that focuses primarily on the older children who have gotten married and had babies. But the Duggars are still as prominent then ever.

Followers and fans of the family have noticed that the younger children look generally unhappy when on camera. It seems that Jim Bob and Michelle have been pretty absentee parents, shirking the responsibility off to the elder kids. A comment left on a blog back in 2007 confirmed that theory. They hadn’t even bathed their children in years, But the biggest revelation from that comment was that the family was covering up a sexual scandal going on within the family. This was in 2007, years before the molestation scandal came to media attention.
There has been so much speculation as to who ‘Alice’ is. Whoever they may be, their true identity has not been revealed, even to this very day. However, many believe that it was a former friend of Grandma Mary Duggar. Alice even alledges that it was Grandma Mary who essentially catapulted the family into fame, calling local television stations to get the family on television. Not only that, they say that Grandma Mary even called around to get the family donations, from food to pianos.
All seems quiet on the homefront for now. But who knows what other secrets the family may be hiding? It looks as though we are just going to have to sit back and relax and watch and wait. You never know, ‘Alice’ just might resurface again and reveal more about the Duggar clan than we have ever known before. It is all just a matter of time before something else pops up and will inevitably put them in the spotlight again.
