“As a fan growing up, I was always like, ‘What the is wrong with them?’ All the scandals. The Britney moment. You grow up thinking they’re pretty and they’re skinny; why would they (mess) it up? But the bigger I get, the more I’m like, Oh my God, of course, they had to do that."

Eilish continues, "In my dark places I’ve worried that I was going to become the stereotype that everybody thinks every young artist becomes, because how can they not? Last year, when I was at my lowest point during the tour in Europe, I was worried I was going to have a breakdown and shave my head.”

She talks about the loss of her privacy that she feels she may never get back now that she’s a pop icon. It's a lot for a teen to handle.

Sorry you’re bored at home.”

This obviously alarmed the pop icon and she expressed her emotions on how she feels like there is a constant invasion of her privacy.

She mentions, “Ugh, that is so creepy. They’re being nice, but there’s a line they just don’t see. Sometimes they’re like, ‘I know this is wrong, but I just wanted to leave this letter.’ And I’m like, If you know it’s wrong, then why do it?”

Billie also finds she’s always being photographed these days. But, it might not be as ‘bad’ as how other celebrities have it. She explains:

“Luckily I dress fly all the time, so it’s not like they’re getting a picture of me where I look crazy. But literally? It feels like if you were to walk into an empty room, and then you looked at your phone and you got a text of a picture of you in that empty room from inside the room.”

She also addresses the recent controversy involving Drake being a fan of hers.

She mentions, “The internet is such a stupid-ass mess right now. Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about. Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the is that?”

There's definitely a lot that came with the fame that Billie didn't expect.
