‘Teen Mom OG‘ alum Farrah Abraham has recently come under fire for rumors that began to swirl purporting she left her child, Sophia, home alone while she went on a vacation to Mexico with an unnamed man. As the rumors picked up steam, it was then insinuated that Child Protection Services were investigating the former reality television star regarding her role and aptitude as a mother for Sophia; however, since then, not only has Abraham come out to deny the rumors’ validity, her parents, Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham, have now released statements of their own.
The rumors of the ‘child abandonment’ for a vacation were sparked when fans of Abraham’s daughter, Sophia, followed her TikTok account which seemed to show her alone at the apartment she lives at with her mother. According to Debra Danielson, that was not the case and Sophia was never left alone.
In a strange response, Abraham’s mother attributed the rumor to someone who was obsessed with the former Teen Mom star and hacked into her daughter’s TikTok account. “It isn’t true … Sophia is with family and never posted anything,” Debra said to Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “It was a hacker who is obsessed with Farrah. We turned it over to [Instagram] and Twitter and the police.”

The grandmother also shared that Sophia wasn’t even posting anything on her phone, but in fact, was swimming at the time of the alleged video of her being alone. “Sophia wasn’t even on her phone … she wasn’t alone, never made a post and was swimming.
When Danielson was asked to confirm that her daughter, Farrah, didn’t leave Sophia home alone to go on a vacation to Mexico, she didn’t change her narrative. “That is correct,” Debra said to the publication in defense of her daughter. “Farrah has not done anything wrong here.”

And it wasn’t just Farrah’s mother that confirmed Sophia wasn’t left home alone. Abraham’s father also shared with the publication that Sophia was in good hands and is always taken care of.
“Sophia always has a guardian and is always taken care of,” he began. “I am personally working with my attorneys right now, we know who these people are [who started this rumor]. We’ve already filed police reports. I am really considering a lawsuit against them for public defamation, lies and harassment of our family. By doing this, they’re actually endangering Sophia themselves.”
Sophia’s grandfather also confirmed that CPS was not investigating his daughter for child neglect. “Also Farrah is not and never has been ‘in trouble’ with any CPS (child protection services) organization,” he added. “Any CPS rumors are just lies from people harassing my family. This can be verified by public record.”
As for Farrah, herself, she came out on Monday to try and dispel the rumors that she left her child to fend for herself while on vacation. “We live a great life and are not affected by harassment of any sort and I will not tolerate unsafe illegal actions by others lying, stalking, or harassing my family,” Abraham began. “I see I need to post less on social media since cyber bullying and hate still has not been filtered out on social media.”
The former MTV star concluded by sharing that she has continually been stalked and harrassed by people who followed the Teen Mom series. “Since I have had continued harassment, stalkers, and haters from the Teen Mom show continue to call Police on me after being hated on the show, I have taken extensive precautions against those who sell stories, lies, and harass my family,” she said. “Sophia is protected from the evil people and it’s sad people are jealous of my dating life, and try to affect my family in a negative way.”
