Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge were both left out of the full-time cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15, but was it due to their age?

According to a report from The Cheat Sheet days ago, many fans assumed that the women had simply outgrown the show after appearing in full-time roles for over a decade but according to Andy Cohen, they didn't get the boot because of how old they are.

During an episode of his SiriusXM Radio show last week, Cohen responded to a caller who phoned in to ask if he got rid of Gunvalson, 57, and Judge, 52, because they were so much older than other members of the show, including 35-year-old Gina Kirschenheiter, 44-year-old Emily Simpson, 42-year-old Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and 44-year-old Kelly Dodd, all of whom are believed to be returning for the show's 15th season.

In response, Cohen confirmed that was not the case as he pointed out the age of The Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer.

Singer may not look it, but she's 63-years-old. So, when it comes to Gunvalson and Judge losing their full-time roles on the Orange County-based Real Housewives franchise, it makes sense that their firings had nothing to do with their age.

“If you look at the breadth of Housewives on all of the shows, we represent all ages and specifically New York City, Ramona [Singer]’s 61 or something,” Cohen explained. “This doesn’t have to do with age.”

Instead, he continued, he and his team simply like to shake up the casts from time to time.

“We just felt like, with Orange County, we were going in circles a little bit with the group,” Cohen continued. “Sometimes you have to take people out of the group to see the stories go in a different direction. I think if we had taken Shannon out of the group, then we could have a discussion about whether this had something to do with age.”

While Beador's role on the upcoming season has not yet been determined as part-time or full-time, Cohen confirmed she would be back days ago.

Before filming began on The Real Housewives of Orange County last year, Gunvalson was forced to take on a demoted position as new cast member Windham-Burke was added to the show in a full-time role.

Then, last month, after confirming she would not be open to returning to the cast in a part-time position for season 15, Gunvalson confirmed she was moving on from the show.

"I will always be the OG of the OC, but it's time to say goodbye," she told her fans and followers.

Just one day after Gunvalson's announcement, Judge confirmed she was following suit before telling People magazine that she had been offered a three-episode return.

“It’s been a wild ride, and after all these years, I’m looking forward to life away from the cameras,” Judge explained to the outlet. “I was offered a chance to come back to the show in a limited role, but would prefer to walk away on my own terms.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 will air on Bravo later this year.
