One Twitter user came out and went straight for the jugular posting, "Thought it was a Super Bowl Halftime Show, not a Lip Sync for Your Life?" while another shared, "I thought the Lip Sync Battle Halftime Show was pretty good."

One social media user directly called out Shakira for her perceived use of lipsyncing stating, "Shakira is my idol, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone noticeably lip sync at the Super Bowl."
