Kate Upton is just as pumped for the Super Bowl as you are. The “Sports Illustrated” model has joined the list of celebrities taking to Instagram ahead of the game on February 2 – the gear-up isn’t just for the likes of Sunday night’s performers, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Demi Lovato, and others.
Kate updated her Instagram just hours ahead of the game with a photo to get her fans excited for the annual event that drew in over 98 million viewers in 2019.
The snap also included a major NFL face – former football player and TV host Michael Strahan was with Kate.

Kate’s photo showed her shot by renowned celebrity photographer Mario Testino – Kate also tagged Vogue magazine in her pic. The blonde was posing next to Strahan and looking like a total bombshell as she flaunted her curves in a chic, duo-toned look.
Kate had opted for a white silk top with a plunging, v-neck neckline – those famous assets were on show. Kate paired her top with a black satin skirt, also sporting her blonde locks waving around her face.
Meanwhile, Michael was looking dapper in a dark suit and appearing to balance a football on his hand.
“Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Who’s taking home the trophy today? ???,” Kate captioned the snap.
Kate’s update brought in all kinds of replies. Many simply showed a fanbase getting beyond-excited as the kick-off time draws closer. Fans also seemed to be rooting for either the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Fransisco 49ers.
“Go Niners!” one fan wrote.
“Go 49ERS!!!” also brought out a rooting fan.
“Kansas City,” one fan said.
Elsewhere, more humorous responses came in.
“Your husband,” a fan wrote, referring to Kate’s husband Justin Verlander.
“Verlander got the trophy a while ago lol” was another reply going down that route.
Kate made headlines earlier this year for speaking candidly about breastfeeding 2019-born baby Genevieve. The star had referred to breastfeeding her infant as “sucking the energy” from her. The Editorialist feature proved controversial enough in nature for Kate to clarify her statement – which she did.
“I want to take a minute to clarify the context of feeling pressures as a new mother and breastfeeding in the @editorialistmagazine article,” she began, adding:
“Every woman experiences this due to the unnecessary and unrealistic expectations that are brought into every household, mostly via social media. I certainly felt these pressures, as all women do.”
Kate has continued to wow fans since welcoming her first daughter with husband Justin. The star’s update showing her breastfeeding Genevieve in a swimsuit currently sits at over 277,000 likes.
It’s all about the Super Bowl now, though. Celebrities taking to Instagram ahead of the game have included Reese Witherspoon and Kaia Gerber, with J Lo posting a message of Latin pride ahead of her performance with Shakira at the Super Bowl Halftime show.
Kate has 6.2 million Instagram followers. For more from this beauty, check out her account.
