Gal Gadot‘s sense of humor was as on-point as her beauty this weekend. The “Wonder Woman” actress took to Instagram with a photo reminding fans that her ability to pull of punny is up there – likewise, her ability to reference a well-known Netflix show.
“Orange Is The New Black” was the vibe over on Gal’s Instagram as she posed for a photo that was black-and-white – bar the addition of a very orange ‘tache.
See Gal’s photo here and keep reading for what Instagram had to say.
Gal’s photo showed her shot against a plain wall and popping against it with that photogenic finish that’s likely responsible for her career as a model – Gal modeled prior to her acting days.
Gal was sitting on a chair and looking sensational in a pair of ripped denim shorts. The 34-year-old paired the denims with a simple white t-shirt. Gal posed with one arm wrapped around her waist and her hair tied up into a bun.
An orange squiggle shaped like a mustache had been digitally placed above the actress’ lips. The graphic proved the impetus for Gal’s caption.
“Orange is the new ‘stache,” she wrote
Gal’s update didn’t go unnoticed. The Israeli’s Instagram followers were like a moth to a flame for this update – be it for the beauty or the humor, Instagram was in.
“Awesome,” one fan wrote.
“Oh it fits you perfect,” another said.
“Something seems different” was an amusing response.
For the most part, though, fans were floored at the actress’ raw beauty, with countless users simply replying with flame or heart emoji.
The update also racked up likes in lighting speed – over 300,000 were clocked by the time the post was 30 minutes old.
Gal has strong links to the Holocaust – the actress’ grandfather survived the infamous Nazi concentration camp. The end of January saw Gal mark 75 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp. She posted a video of elderly survivors returning to the site, adding a powerful caption.
“This moment has me in tears. This morning, Auschwitz survivors walk through camp gates on 75th anniversary of liberation,” she wrote.
“I recently read that 41% of Americans and 66% of millennials say they never heard about Auschwitz death camp, these statistics has to change. May we honor the memories, may we show compassion to one another, may we never forget. #standtogether,” Gal added.
Gal isn’t your average Hollywood starlet. The “Fast & Furious” star served two years’ mandatory military service in her native Israel as a combat instructor.
The army experience came in handy, though, as Gal personally admitted that “Fast & Furious” director Justin Lin was impressed with her “knowledge of weapons.” Gal even filmed “Wonder Woman” while pregnant.
At the age of 34, Gal is also a mother of two. She remains fiercely private about her personal life, choosing not to share her children’s faces on Instagram.
