Shakira has transcended the American and Latin music charts since she stepped out onto the scene in Colombia. Of Lebanese descent, she used her experience in belly dancing to bolster herself as an artist. Along with writing most of her own music, she went from a nineties indie rocker to a full-fledged pop star.

Tonight, she will perform at the 2020 Super Bowl alongside fellow artist Jennifer Lopez. Shakira has many hits, so here are a few that might make the setlist.

Hips Don't Lie

"Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean was one of Shakira's most successful songs. It sold over 13 million downloads internationally since its release. In 2006, it was the most played song its first week out on all American radio stations. You could not go anywhere without listening to this song once a day.

There are rumors that other guests will join the Super Bowl stage, so it's not farfetched that Wyclef Jean return and perform with Shakira for one more night.

"Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" featuring South African band Freshlyground was an international sensation. The 2010 FIFA World Cup had given Shakira the shot at making a song for the tournament, an honor bestowed every four years.

Although it was not a big hit in the US, most soccer fans could not watch FIFA without hearing the tune before every game. The song was a homage to the host country of South Africa and spread a message of good spirit.

La Tortura

Most of Shakira's discography is in Spanish, a few of her albums doubled with English lyrics as well. One of her biggest hits on the Latin music charts was "La Tortura" featuring Alejandro Sanz, another Spanish singing icon. Both won two awards for this specific reggaeton influenced song at the 2006 Latin Grammy ceremony.

Representing the Latinx community, Shakira will most likely sing this Spanish hit for representation. Moreover, Alejandro Sanz could also be the rumored guest performer. We'll see tonight!

Moreover, it sold 8.5 million physical copies globally, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. This classic song is sure to be on the setlist.
