Jennifer Lopez may well find her name Googled more than ever this weekend. The “Dinero” singer will be performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday night – 50-year-old Lopez will be joining Colombian singer Shakira for the NFL game’s much-watched entertainment segment.
J Lo has been building up to her appearance with a series of Instagram posts, bringing a fresh one just one day before the game. The snap was showing this fitness fiend’s rock-hard abs, and it’s been going down a storm with fans.
J Lo’s photo showed her owning the camera and standing with a mic during what appeared to be rehearsals for her performance. The image showed the “Jenny From The Block” singer striking a pose and flaunting her world-famous and rock-hard abs in a tiny black crop top paired with a matching pair of leggings.
Jennifer also wore high-heeled and strappy black shoes, posing with her eyes closed and one arm held up and clutching a mic with background dancers also visible.
“1 day! Let’s get it Miami. ✨?✨ Text me at (305) 690-0379 which songs you want me to sing during the #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime show! ? @lacarba,” the star captioned her photo.
An impressive 390,000+ likes were left in under 30 minutes.
J Lo has countless hits to her name, and her caption asking fans which song they want performed generated quite the response.
“Waiting for tonight!!!” one fan replied.
“GET RIGHT!” was another suggestion.
“Let’s get loud and on the floor” saw one fan make two suggestions.
Fans suggested recent tracks, but J Lo’s old-school hits also got a mention, with “Jenny From The Block” appearing popular. Likewise suggested were “Ain’t It Funny” and “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.”
Jennifer has had plenty of practice performing of late – the star marked her 50th birthday with her “It’s My Party” tour.
There isn’t a week when J Lo isn’t snapped by the paparazzi during a gym run. Many come with soon-to-be-husband Alex Rodriguez – nearly all showcase the star’s fierce abs.
“I am 100 per cent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy. Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that’s so good for me is key to my happiness. And I really believe that when you take care of yourself and work to stay healthy, you’re better able to take care of those you love. So working out is definitely a priority for me,” Lopez told Hello! in 2016.
The world is still in shock following the tragic loss of NBA icon Kobe Bryant. Along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, Kobe was killed last weekend as the helicopter he was traveling in burst into flames.
Shakira has confirmed that she plans to honor the 41-year-old basketball player at Hard Rock Stadium.
“We’ll all be remembering Kobe on Sunday and celebrating life and diversity in this country. I’m sure he’d be very proud to see the message we are trying to convey on stage that day,” she said.
