Lil Nas X has been one of the biggest stars in the music industry again, as he recently scored another number one single. This is "Industry Baby," featuring Jack Harlow.
Industry Baby was initially released in early August, and went on to debut as the number two song, in the US. Last week, it eventually climbed to the top spot, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Harlow has been showing Nas X a ton of support for this collaboration, but it appears that members within his team, originally didn't like the idea of him working with Nas X, on this.

Jack Harlow Says His Team Didn't Want Him On 'Industry Baby'
In a new interview with GQ, the Louisville rapper revealed that people within his circle initially felt that him being on "Industry Baby," wouldn't be a good look. They cited how they think the homosexual content in Nas X's music videos are "wrong."
"I had people in my corner that didn't recommend I do that song, that don't want to watch that video, you know? But I just realized there is a fundamental difference with how the world is seen by some people. Some people think certain things are wrong. There are some people, at the root level – although they don't want to hurt any gays; they don't hate gays – they think it is wrong, whether it's religion or whatever reason it is. But for me, I have never been this way. Never."
'Industry Baby' Became Nas X's Second Number One Song Of 2021
Regardless of what people think about Nas X's visuals to his music videos, or himself, he continues to be a worldwide superstar. Industry Baby was also his second number one hit of this year, which joins his "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" single, which was originally released in late March. The video for that song also received backlash, as it displayed Nas X twerking on Satan. After Montero's release, Nas X attempted to sell his own Nike Air Max 97 "Satan Shoes," which ended up being slapped by a lawsuit, from Nike, which stopped distribution and sales of the shoes.
Industry Baby went on to appear on Nas X's debut studio album, "Montero," which was released in mid-September. That project went on to become the number two album, in the US.
'Industry Baby' Became Harlow's First Number One Song
Appearing on "Industry Baby" ended up being one of the best decisions of Harlow's career, as it ended up being his first number one song, of his career. This all comes after Harlow broke out as a star, back in 2020, with the success of his "What's Poppin" single. Harlow put out his own debut album in December 2020 as well, with "That's What They All Say." That went on to experience the success of being the number five album, in the US.
